Blood of Dawn

Episode I - The Lost Kingdom

Thousands of years ago, everything fell apart.

In the once-prosperous kingdom of Vetia, capitol city-world of the Ten Worlds, events foreshadowed by the growing darkness came about. The trusted Monarch of the Vetynn betrayed them, leading his own vast army of undead into the city and destroying an entire civilization... almost.

The few Vetynn who survived the initial onslaught were saved by the mysterious Deliverer and a dozen of his own warriors. As the survivors escaped the city, the Deliverer and his warriors fought against the masses of undead. The Deliverer held off the undead and defended the burning city long enough for the Vetynn to escape before they were inevitably overwhelmed. It was the greatest sacrifice and one of the most epic battles in the history of the Ten Worlds.

Determined to overthrow the evil Monarch of the Dead, the Vetynn began a campaign to assault Vetia. They learned how to open the gates of the dark city, and now all that stands between them and vengeance is the recovery of ten artifacts that are needed to open the gates.

But the Veremynn, a secretive race of Noble Elves who betrayed the Vetynn, have come out of hiding, hindering the Vetynn by hiding the ten artifacts across the Ten Worlds and Cyrodill.

The Vetynn have turned to you for help in recovering these artifacts. From the wilds of Uncrab, to the frozen void of Vereman, to the burning planes of Oblivion, to miles beneath the Imperial City, the Veremynn will stop at nothing to protect these artifacts from falling into the hands of the Vetynn. Epic battles and terrifying new worlds await, thick plots and surprising betrayals threaten to undermine the Vetynn, but you must pull through. You must lead the Vetynn back to their home city, but in doing so, are you avenging the deaths of thousands and overthrowing a horrible tyrant, or are you ignoring the pleas of a desperate rebellion and leading an entire civilization to its doom?

The unofficial Oblivion expansion known as Oblivion Expanded has been renamed Blood of Dawn.

The huge project continues, the twisted new main quest, stunning new worlds, and intriguing side quests are all still in progress. Nothing has been canceled in the renaming and overhaul.

The lineup remains the same, essentially. I chose to call the individual chapters 'Episodes' instead of 'Parts.' In addition, a fifth chapter has been added, the name currently unannounced.

Episode II - Monarch of the Dead

Episode III - Prisoner of Akavir

A huge update is in the works, including dozens of new screenshots, the new trailer, and a revised and extended edition of the Oblivion Expanded Encyclopedia!

I don't know when this will be ready, but I'm hoping to do this towards the end of January.

Features...

There's a huge list of features, things that will be included in Blood of Dawn, far too many to list here in detail. Among them is currently under a dozen new armor and weapon sets and new unique items!

A very unique feature that is still in progress is the Collector's Edition. I'm continuing work on the Collector's Edition version of The Lost Kingdom, including tons of goodies to go along with the mod, including a trailer for Episode II and walkthroughs for all of the new quests.

For more information...

For more info as it comes along, please visit my forums, the Hermetic Synod. Hope to see you over there!

Comments and feedback are appreciated, as always. Enjoy!

You said (wrote :whistling: ) "plenty" of new features, does this include new enviroments, or will you use existing textures? Kinda tired of the vanilla, there isn't any scary place in whole Cyrodiil (except Testinghall's basement.... that's spooky).

I've got several new climates and exteriors that look far off from the vanilla ones, even though they're just retextures and clever recoloring. Vereman, one of the new worlds, scared me the first time I went ingame after I changed the climate. It's pretty scary, especially when some goon in black robes comes out of nowhere and kills you. (Clever placement on my part. Too clever. Scared me half to death.) So what we said on the Synod is, "If it's spooky enough to scare the creator..." :)

One of the points of this mod is to serve as an expansion, and I've tried as much as I can to add new features that would be standard in a Bethesda-made expansion.

I know. I just keep saying that! :wallbash:

Because it's a really good mod.
