Eldarmari
first off i know my specs for my PC arent the greatest this machine was build in school (when i was doing my A+ cert) its a 2008 era, its got a 512 Nvidia 8600gs card, but the game runs just fine on most settings medium to low and without heavy stuff like shadows and so forth Windows 7 32 Professional, latest drivers, 4 gigs of ram, AMD X2 dual core anyways i run into a few crashes when playing for prolonged periods of time, game runs great but after a few hours of playing sometimes it will crash without warning, just poof, back to desktop no error messages nothing, its strange the reason for my post is that i know in the past morrowind and maybe oblivion had memory leaks or known to be buggy like that where if you played for a few hours eventually it would crash, but ran great after restarting...is there any known memory leaks yet for skyrim? has anyone else had random non-graphics (at least i think) crashes? everything else works great, and i'm enjoying the game but its just when i play a few hours...a minor annoyance but to confound it further earlier tonight i was doing a quest (the one where you challenge the guy in whiterun to a drinking contest, then pass out and wake up at the temple, and she tells you to pick up your mess) well i clicked on the chick to talk to her, and i heard a "ding" sound, and game froze/locked up and it was a major freeze, i lost my mouse cursor, i tried to alt-tab, everything i could think of, and nothing responded, music was still playing entire time though finally i hit control alt delete, pulled up task manager, tabbing through things and trying to kill the game was really hard because i lost my mouse cusor, as if it was stuck in the game window screen (which was now black) and it took me 10 minutes finally was able to tab and hit enter to close it then buried under all that in the background was a message that said: Runtime error: TESU.exe R6025 Pure Virtual Function Call and i had to tab/enter to hit ok but the system was stable and i havent restarted since, but going to call it a night on the game so what does the runtime error mean? i was just looking for others who have had similiar issues, and maybe know what R6026 VFC is, but love the game! its addicting to bad i gotta go to work in a few hours =(
