wizardmirth
Must happen a lot. I have the same problems with way more mods but it doesn't happen enough to make me want to physically injure myself or the pc. Where's that 2nd topic you found? It could be a lot of different things from your pc not being able to keep up to load order. Or check each mod forum to see if there are any complaints. WoogieMonster
For random crashes, can you tell us tell us exactly what you're doing when a crash happens? Are you just walking through the forest smelling the flowers or are you in a heated battle casting spells? Does it happen when you try to talk to someone or when you make a cell transition? And what are your settings versus your system specs? Are you running Xfire or any other program in the background? We are glad to help, but we need more info than just "my Oblivion game has random crashes."

bben46
Several suggestions. If you think it is caused by a mod, try disabling half of your mods and playing the same part of the game. Then if it does not crash, re enable those and disable the other half. If it is a specific mod this will cut the number of possible culprits in half. Then use the same technique to narrow it down to the particular mod that is causing it. I see that your mod list is in alphabetical order, this indicates to me that you are probably not using the Oblivion Mod Manager program. This is easier if you use Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) which can be found in the mod section, It is not a mod used in the game, but used when you start the game to sort your mods and allow you some control of which one loads when. It also will allow you to see some conflicts. It will also allow you to change the load order of mods. sometimes a mod must be loaded before some other mod or it causes problems. I have seen the game crash repeatedly when my character walks into a particular spot. When I find this, I have the character go a different way, then approach the spot from a different direction at a different time. That usually works. Note: I have only seen this problem 3 or 4 times in the 200+ hours I have played. The DLC Horse Armor caused me more problems than any other mod. Also, I think the unofficial Mods need to be loaded early in the list as some other mods change some of the things they change. The last mod loaded overwrites anything that it needs to work. You may have to play with the load order some, But OBMM will load many mods (But not All!) in the proper order. Good luck in finding your problem
