dada76
For example, Adrianne the weapons shop owner and forge master in Whiterun, yes she tells you about being the best shop and about her father and tells you to check inside the shop for deals and a few other initial meeting info dialog. Thing that annoys is every time you want to use the forge area or go inside the store and shes around close enough to you she spews the same info over and over again, very very annoying. Is their anyone that can create a mod that can turn off all of the winded info that certain NPC's give you after hearing it in the the initial meeting of the NPC so its not repeated over and over again every time you run into them to stop the urge of wanting to take a liberals' head off with a blunt Axe! thank you MagniNord 21st Season Edited November 21, 2011 by dada76
Eldarmari
there is a mod on the mod section of skyrim nexus that forces the game not to repeat their banter when you get near, and the other optional part of it gives you a 50% in creased range on them so you have to be right up on them. The mod is intentioned to fix where you will be talking to a person and someone will be 100 feet away walking down the street and butt into your convesation and it overlaps the voices its annoying check out that mod, i forget name of it, easy enough to find on the mod site

DiGiTALZOMBiE
Did you get the name of that mod in the end?
FuriousGreg
If you click on the question again it skips through to the next line of the dialogue in progress. Not the best answer but it does get you to the next screen faster.
dada76
Did you get the name of that mod in the end? DIG, name of the mod is "No NPC Greeting" theres two diff versions on nexusone file will s*** off greetings totally the other file download will use distance, i think it cuts down NPC reaction dialog by a 50% ratio somthing like that Edited November 21, 2011 by dada76

Cipscis
Author of No NPC Greetings here :) One of the plugins will disable the greetings entirely, and the other will significantly decrease thier range so you'll have to almost bump into them before they'll talk to you. The mod doesn't affect any coversations between NPCs, or anything that happens as a result of you trying to initialise dialogue with an NPC. Only the things they say to you when you get close enough to them are affected. Cipscis

Cipscis Thanks Cip for a very useful mod, question though.. is there a way to have an NPC's initial greeting dialog switched off after you first hear it for the first time? In other words, yes i want to hear it once then have it turned off after that first time you bump into the NPC.. Cipscis
Possibly - I'd have to experiment a bit more with the available game settings. I expect that one setting will govern the minimum time between greetings, so increasing that to a practically unreachable amount should effectively disable all greetings after a character's first. I'll look into it when I get the chance; if I find anything I'll update No NPC Greetings with some new options. Just to make sure we're talking about the same thing, I'm talking about greetings outside of dialogue mode. Cipscis
