Narusuke2787
I've seen so many mods that are made by talented people, but they are focusing their talents on making Pikachu shirts for kids, or purple horses. Can one of you mammoths of modding please please PLEASE make a mod already that addresses the lacking challenge this game provides? Personally I've played since Morrowind and simply am too knowledgeable/adept at the game for even "Master" difficulty to be any challenge to me. I even tried rocking an UNARMED Khajiit character and was still met with no challenge. A lot of this is due to the overpowered smithing/enchanting/alchemy circle jerk for a lot of people, but even without it, I don't feel the game is difficult enough. I've resorted to using player.advlevel in console to make myself a "higher" level without actually gaining the perks or stats associated with it to make mobs harder. I'll theoretically be level 10 but actually only be level 5. Still too easy. Can anyone simply go into the .esm and modify the damage output of all enemies by like 20% and health by about the same? I'd do it myself but I'm totally inept with the FOMM/TESsnip. If this idea was ever realized, I know that myself and many many others would praise its coming. Thank you! Lineoutt
Ok first off I just want to bow to your unhuman video game skills, I am very challenged with normal difficulty and I have on top class armor and weapons for my level. However this is not to say everything is challenging. If I properly understand what you're suggesting which is a just making enemies more powerful then I think I'd have to pass. But, if a mod like this could come with the option to just add more heath, without adding damage, then I think it would be awesome to have a custom difficulty mod like that. I really dont like 1 shotting bandits but I have enough problems with dragons as they are. I hope this gets made, and I hope it is custom, not just a "Grandmaster" setting. But of course, that too. +1 Edited November 21, 2011 by Lineoutt
Narusuke2787
I can see where you are coming from. I'm sure plenty of people find the game difficult enough. And for those people, mods aren't necessary. But since we are on a modding forum, I suppose it is for people that are looking for something more out of the game. For those who don't want it, well, you don't have to dl such a mod. But yeah, definitely would be great if it were adjustable/had some variables that could be enabled or disabled. Grandmaster would be great. I just don't see why Bethesda couldn't have taken the two seconds to modify enemy/player stats and make an additional difficulty mode before shipping the game. Diablostorm
Really wish this mod existed, enemies are a joke... I don't die to the ebony warrior or dragon priests (supposedly the "hardest enemies" according to google) or any kind of dragon...
notmyhome
Crank up difficulty to Legendary. If you don't die yet, install Deadly Combat and Combat Evolved. If this still isn't enough, move on to Requiem. And please, for the love of all Aedra and Daedra, DO NOT bump three years old threads.
Azrative
Want some challenge? Install SkyUI + SkyRe + Dual Combat Realism Hardcore + Deadly Dragons with Deadly Creatures. Run game on novice difficulty (to start with). In MCM (that comes with SkyUi) find Deadly Dragons and change their combat behaviour to never land and then add them + 1000% to stats, + 150% to melee dmg, + 300% to magic dmg, + 100 to armor, + 25% to magic res. Change them so they could be up to three dragons in single encounter. Now go to Deadly Creatures and in each section add +100% stats, + 150% melee dmg and +300% magic dmg. Gratz, now your game is more challenging and unforgiving than DkS series. And the AI is better too! Hard to believe eh? I'm playing on that setting plus many more mods that make this game an truly immersive and rewarding experience like Frostfall, Realistic needs and diseases, Warzones, Sands of Time and Locational Damage. And of course some purely graphical and atmospheric mods ;> Edited October 25, 2014 by Azrative
chanchan05
I too found master difficulty too easy. I ended up with Deadly Dragons + Dragon Combat Overhaul + SkyRe + Sands of Time + SkyTEST Predators on Adept difficulty. Way more difficult than vanilla Master. I'll bump threads if they're relevant to what I'm going to talk about anyway, what would you have me do, create an entirely new thread with the same exact wording? That's incredibly stupid. OP hit the nail on the head. I use alch/smith/enchant and everything...game cant handle me.BTW my difficulty is already on Legendary, has been since the option opened up to me with the DLC... as assuming as that suggestion was, that i'm incompetent or something.... Anyway, I happened to find something pretty nice (deadly dragons, so that was a good suggestion above): http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3829/?
