COOLJ808
Something that bothered me while playing was the crafting stations, enchantment tables, etc. were free to use all the time. It would be nice if people more or less charged you to use them. Additional mechanics to add stakes like limiting the times per day, dynamic costs, or even effecting the quality of the end result would really help flesh the crafting system out. I think it could add incentive to own a home, as right now I can't really think of any ways the player is rewarded for owning a home other than storage. It would go well with mods that make the economy harder and could make things like smiting more valuable to the player. If there's already a mod like that, please let me know. I can't find one. :/
pyrotx
Well this an be done easily for smithing by going into the list of constructable items and adding gold as a requirement to make the item. as for enchanting or alchemy, I guess you could make a trigger box around each crafting table and then when the player gets near the crafting table (enters the trigger box) then the trigger disables the furniture version of the crafting table, and enables a static non usable version in its place if the requirements aren't met, or met on a schedule. thumbincubation
It's not the same, I know, but have you seen Honed Metal? Instead of paying to use a "public" work station, you're actually paying the blacksmiths or enchanters to do the work for you. Similar, but definitely adds a cost factor. For smithing that seems pretty straight forward but I don't entirely get what you're saying for the enchanting /alchemy tables. It's not the same, I know, but have you seen Honed Metal?
