Taking a break play other games. but once the CS comes out and all the mods hit the forums it will be fun again. I love the game but I am bored until I mod it. I put 98 hours in oblivion 4 characters went to CS and put in another 200+ hours with mods i made not including making/testing them. everyone is different but games you cant w8 for them to come out and when they do if you cant mod it seems to get boring quickly. Love RPG's may get bored but i still keep playing lol. :ninja: Edited by Guss

Not yet bored. I have played it like 8 hours now. I only play it when I really feel like it. One quest then another then... Actually Im just getting a feeling to it while I wait good mods and updates. I dont want to play it because its new and I've been waiting it. Like I'd be obsessed with it. But when the right feeling kicks in I start Skyrim and enjoy it. After finishing a quest I go to tavern, rent a room and go to sleep. And close the game.

bored of Skyrim? I was bored of Gaming altogether!

Skyrim brought back the Smile after all those "Trainwrecks" hyped to death by Fanboys (I am not going to be specific...pretty much everything between Oblivion, Fallout and Skyrim).

Yet I know what you mean. The first few hours into Skyrim took me some effort because I was bored to begin with but I nonetheless kept playing and am now very "hooked".

Here is some tips:

- dont use Console Commands until you absolutely have to (i.e. to get around game breaking bugs)

- dont use obvious game glitches that would give you an enormous advantage early on.

- do take on diffucult missions

- do use weaker gear, or better, craft your own gear and enchant with lesser soul gems

- most importantly, give the game a chance to "prove" itself.

Dont know if these will apply to anyone else but they sure helped me make the most out of Skyrim.

After about 40 hours I became bored. Or rather, my frustration boiled over. The more I played, the more the terrible UI and general lack of control annoyed me. Also, there is no conveyed feeling of achievement or fame/infamy, and thus little derived satisfaction. I have no empathy with any of the characters. Not sure what this radiant AI was supposed to do, but my experience is that character interaction is an afterthought to the myriad but all-too-similar kill/collect quest lines.

I'm certainly not denying the artistic effort and massive storytelling scope - really it is impressive and there are some truly amazing moments. But considering the ambitious scale of the game I am genuinely surprised that the basic gameplay mechanics have moved on so little from Oblivion. In some respects they have gone backwards.

Now when I play it all I see are missed opportunities, and I'm normally a glass-half-full type of person.

This is why I bough the PC version - mods may well yet save the day!

I am going to list all of my huge issues from most important to least important.

- Everything you do has pretty much no f***ing effect. If you side with the stormcloaks they don't change their view on you at all. After killing multiple dragons and doing the MQ still nothing is serious. Going through the quest lines has no effect. Once again there is very little to do after finishing the quests.

- The qeustlines are seriously short. I can not believe how short they are. The dark brotherhood is practically a waste of time. The main quest even seems a lot shorter.

- Removing attributes was a terrible idea. Now magic affects and such have a lot less to do. Vampires suck due to this, most potions suck due to this.

- The whole radiant AI thing was the stupidest design decision of all time. It doesn't matter if the quests change if they are never interesting. Go to point A, bring it to point B. Changing A and B from time to time does nothing at all. Having scripted quests makes them more interesting.

- The AI is completely retarded. I don't know how beth manged to make it worse or the same as oblivion. Sure they pick up s*** you drop and some other minor things, but they still have terrible combat AI and they don't react to anything serious. I think the dialogue is worse then oblivion.

- Leveling sucks. Creatures level up with you too much, items were given to you at your level and do not change.

- No spell creation and lack of spells and shouts. There is seriously a very tiny amount of spells you can get compared to oblivion.

- UI

- Marriage is terrible. The only thing that it does is have someone stay in your house and give you a food item and a sleep boost. No dialogue or anything.

That is it for now. I will be adding to this. Probably has a few grammar mistakes.
