Spade07
Hey guys, lately my computer has been "Clicking off" of programs. Or kicking back to the desktop and minimizing the program. (It really is hard to explain) Every five minutes or so the program I am currently using will just go into the background so that I have to click on it again to be able to type. Or lately, when I have been playing Skyrim, it minimizes the game (when in full screen mode) so that I have to bring it back up. Or when in windowed mode, it pauses the game and makes it "stop responding" to a point that i have to close it and boot up the game again. I have scanned my laptop with multiple antivirus programs and registry cleaners, and they have all come up clean. I have also tried uninstalling a few applications to see if that would make a difference and it did not. Here are my computer specs if that will help at all: HP G62 Notebook PCAMD Athlon II P340 Dual-Core Processor 2.20 GHz3.00 GB RAM64 bit Operating System. I really really hope that someone can help me. And if anyone else has the same problem, speak up. There is, of course, strength in numbers haha. Thanks beforehand! Vagrant0
Which antivirus programs? This sounds like computer hijacking to me. Do a full scan with MalwareBytes and Spybot. Try killing your internet connection at the computer and see if it still happens. Worst case, backup any personal files to an external drive and reformat to see if it fixes anything. Registry cleaners can also sometimes do more harm than good, so you shouldn't put much faith in them for solving any problems.
Delikatessen
What are all of the programs you currently have installed? Anti-Virus programs can cause HUGE problems, and since you have more than one installed, I would recommend getting rid of all but one and disabling the last one to see if it still does it. hoofhearted4
and make sure your scanning in Safe Mode. some viruses know how to route them selves around anti-virus programs to make them think they are safe. running in safe mode can help
PowderdToastMan
The minimizing in skyrim is a skyrim issue. There are several threads in the skyrim technical support section where denziens of people are complaining about it. If this sort of thing is occuring for other things, then do this. Assuming you have windows 7 go to the search bar and type - msconfig - and hit enter click the third tab, should be labeled - services. (going from memory here) click the check box in the bottom corner that says - hide all microsoft services. This will show you any programs that you computer is running including hidden ones. So i reinstalled it. I have used Malwarebytes and spybot search and destroy, and they both came up with nothing. Also, i only used one registry cleaner, and it had good reviews. Nothing seemed to change after that either.

I haven't quite narrowed it down to one application yet, but when i disables all of them, it stopped doing that. So now i just have to take some time and figure out which one(s) it is. Thanks! Illuna
This may not be some baad software problem, maby some shortcut or some other programm that takes priority jumps on from time to time, only thing that comes to mind is that its antivirus software itself that dose it, i seggest turning one by one programms off and seeing if this works, do it whit internet unplugged that way no harm. i use kaspersky on allert mode so when some program trying to go internet or start itself or edit registery i get notification, this notifications minimizes any other programms i got on and takes priority (so if i play skyrim and lets say skype trying to go internet update i get notice and skyrim will be minimized) i think something similar is happening here. There is also chanse that some pressed button or something starts on your pc some command that dose just that. excample pressing left alt for over 5 sek, if you dont have in settings that disabled you should get popup that asks if you wana start some shortcut or soming like that. PS: Most harmfull software try to be hidden from your eyes, not getting attention to itself so said harm can be done, thats why i think its not that.
