myrddincat
Sometimes I wish that I could add notes to places on the map. For example, it would be convenient to have places where fences live marked. If there's some way to make a mod that would allow adding personal notes to locations on the map, I believe it would help immensely. One problem I foresee is wanting to mark locations that already have names, as well as wanting to mark places that are out in the middle of nowhere. It might be easiest to simply allow the addition of notes to places that already exist on your map, but if it's possible, it would be good to be able to do so with wilderness areas as well. I don't know if this would cause conflict when you do arrive at the location and the game itself marks it on your map. Anyway, just an idea that I had. If anyone can do this, please let me know... Edit: I just had an idea to add to this: It would be good to have a choice of color for the note (the icon of the note on the map, the text, or whatever). Even if there were only five or so color choices, it would make it easier to find places quickly if you have more than one reason to mark locations. myrddincat
... I'm really surprised that no one responded to this. I thought it was a great idea. Does no one else agree? Or can this not be done? Or has it already been done? ....?
kelticpete
I agree it is a good idea. No modder has jumped on my mod requests either. hopefully the gifted amongst us are taking it under advisement.
Zeitdruck
nice suggestion. problem is: zillions of request and very few possibilities to mod anything without the creation kit (released "soon").
myrddincat
Oohhhh... I didn't realize that. I've never modded anything before. Maybe I should look into it myself when it's released. What's the best way to go about watching for the kit's release?
Elec1
There are lots of unmarked locations that have distinctive features, like alchemy ingredients and all and it would indeed be nice to mark them. +
magnolia81
I'd really love that. The Ideal thing would be if you could add notes to existing markers and create your own markers anywhere. I've never modded before but I am a programmer and hobby game developer. So I think when the creation kit comes out (when, Bethesda?!?) I will try to make something like that myself. With so many modders out there I guess somebody will be faster than me though... Btw: Does anyone know which programming language is used for modding? I know the Interface is in Flash. But what about actual game logic?

Euclid
This would be very useful and certainly a mod I'd run. But as Zeitdruck said, we have to wait for the release of the creation kit. Cheers Euclid
CaoMengde777
map notes was part of vanilla Morrowind (or i think a patch, maybe Tribunal expansion added it) ... infinite map notes... or pretty close to i guess....on Oblivion i know some modder made it work by using a spell, and i think another mod used some scripted item u place down.. chalk markings u made on the ground i think... i forget now....but if it is in vanilla Morrowind..... .... it NEEDS TO BE in Skyrim... right? ... same with 2 rings ... and better inventory lol
