Lanceor
Wow, this is amazing news! Maybe it's in preparation for future DLC's, but it sounds like they would have to do an awful lot of work for $9.99. Maybe they left it there for modders to do as they wish with it? Let's hope we get an official word soon. :)
Tzz
Why's everyone so crazed about this? It's been the same in Oblivion. It's simly there so that when you look out from a mountain you can actually see that there's a world beyond.

abisha
someone please explain, why a very large area, suppose to give the player some sort game feature?i will have been more happy with new gear, items. no reason, to have a landscape of 100 KM, if 10 KM offer the same content
AltreU
Because some people, like me, would rather enjoy seeing what's happening in Cyrodiil (like the war with the Imperials from their side) and Morrowind (Argonians galore!) currently. I'd much rather have a new (version of an old) expanse of land than items to use in areas in the game that I've explored already. It's not like they won't have new gear in the expansions anyways. ThatKidLuke
Wouldnt that be way to small to represent cryodiil and Morrowind?i guess it pays tribute to the landmass connected to Skyrim or else it would be completely incorrect if there was just the open See. if i look at this Map http://tinyurl.com/7n48ht8 it seems that proportions are kinda off.
