shintei
How come Witcher 2 has so very few mods? Game's been out for a while now and I've modded it with 5 or 6 mods...Skyrim is out for 11 days and I've already have over 30 mods installed... and without CK being released yet... in few months there will probably be over 1000 mods available.I must admit I have no knowledge about modding so I must rely on modders...So I repeat my question. Why doesn't Witcher 2 have more mods? Game certainly have a lot of space and place for mods, improvements and enhancements.
rgx02
Creating mods for the witcher is more difficult than skyrim, mainly because there is no creation kit to tweak things.Textures are easier to make but not as easy as in the gamebryo engine. Gordyne
Because there is no modding kit yet... A complete toolset would ignite the potential of the modding community, I certainly would begin to create mods and adventures, but so far we can only dream... It's very sad... Gordyne
They can take their time... As long as they release a decent toolset. It reminds me of the Age of Mithology toolset, wasn't perfect but we could create really good content with a bit of creativity...
tommy5761
CD Projekt Red would like to release a SDK but have said that it won`t be this year and that they would like it to be user friendly as well . If anyone has ever tried using the Djinni editor from witcher 1 would definitely know it`s not very user friendly and crash crazy at the same time . At this point it seems that is all we can do is wait as patiently as possible . I do know that the PC version has some additional content coming roughly around the 1st quarter of 2012 . mymee
Is this also the reason why no mods are updated for Witcher 2 version 2.0? All mods were last updated months ago, like May and June...
dragonbird
Is this also the reason why no mods are updated for Witcher 2 version 2.0? All mods were last updated months ago, like May and June... Some were updated. A lot still work. Some new ones have been added since 2.0.But yes, I suspect that the ones that haven't been updated and don't work any more are because the modder has lost interest while waiting for the SDK.
