Exodus1161
EDIT: just realised it's in the wrong spot, if you can move it please do I've had a few mod idea for Oblivion to make it more fun they could be set as quests that you can do over and over again. First.A group of 8-10 bandits scout the gold road between skingrad and the imperial city looking for people to ambush and rob once a week. Second: (based of LOTR two towers)again groups of bandits attack cloud ruler temple in an attempt to wipe out the blades. the gates gets closed and has to be held off by archers on the wall around the temple, if the gate is broken down they must stop the invasion from going inside the temple. this can happen once every 2-3 weeks third:a mod that will let you change your race without using the console command so it doesn't reset skills. these are my ideas and since im no modder hope someone would take up my idea and make them reality. Vagrant0
third:a mod that will let you change your race without using the console command so it doesn't reset skills. There were a few early mods which did this. They painstakingly recorded all your skills and stats, then initiated the racemenu. Once you were out of that menu, they then set your stats back to what you had. The issue with this was that if it made adjustments based on what race you were before the change, only counting what could be seen as skill gains, the values would get occasionally messed up due to having a race mod active which changes the default values. It would also reset any progress you had made within that level back to 0. Additionally, those mods didn't seem to work well with any mods which added new races, largely because they tried making those adjustments and couldn't determine what race the player was, so the script would be broken. In some cases, the script calling the racemenu would actually make is so that any custom races weren't available as selections, or crash the game if you were one of those custom races to begin with. Additionally, if there were any mods which added powers and abilities based on race, these would only catch the initial race on player creation, and not register any changes to that race. If I get bored enough, and there is some real need, I could probably see to creating a simple mod to allow a race change through an item or something. It won't be able to make adjustments according to what race you were, but should allow you to retain your skills and stats.
LoginToDownload
First: Easy, but... Seems a bit uninteresting to me. You could do it yourself with little trouble, if you tried learning the CS, which I strongly reccommend.Second: I'm afraid that's probably more trouble than it's worth.Third: There's a trick to avoid that, I think. Open up the race menu, perform what tweaks you will, save before leaving the menu, quit, (important) and load up your new save. At least, it worked for me. wizardmirth
I like the first idea but would probably make it so that the bandit horde could be found along more of the road and give them a headquarters somewhere. If you find their headquarters, found through certain clues, and wipe out the leader they will not respawn again and you can get some nice item. Question is should they try to take down any wandering guards or not. I would think if they did that then eventually official action would have to be taken and your role in the matter would become moot. I'm just learning the cs but I think I could create this at least for some quest practice. If it becomes reality I will give you credit for the idea.
