drogun
A full team of highly skilled moder's put 1000s of hours into adding morrowind to oblivion and had some success but even now that mod isn't really playable. For you to do the same on your own.. good luck I hope it works but I think your over reaching. Bethesda them selves would need to pour thousands of hours in to make it work and it will even then it would never be stable.
GreekIrish
I could help with sound design. Whenever you need any user-created sound effects, I'm your guy for the job. I've been an audio engineer for 5 years, (officialy that is) Maybe you'd like to add a new soundtrack too. I'd love to help with that. I have hundreds and hundreds of great ideas swirling around in my head that I've been waiting to put together for someone.
GreekIrish
To be honest, I think creating SummertSet Isle would be easier and cooler. Oblivion would be hard, because everyone's already been there and done thay. I'm up for helping though, regardless of what you do.
Earendel.co.uk
Quick question: Is the goal to recreate Cyrodiil as it was in Oblivion, or would it be to create a modern Cyrodiil in the same age as Skyrim's storyline?
Vaktus
I hope you're able to get those other like-minded people together to make it happen. Indeed, gathering a large group for this project should be first on the list. It would be quite enjoyable to have the option of crossing over the mountains, I always hated map borders in free-roaming games.
gengrimm
Rumor has it the Cyrodil and Morrowind provinces are already in the game just not populated. Best method would be to attempt to import oblivion assets into skyrim i.e plants, trees, rocks, etc etc and have them imported into the game. Sadly its highly likly that the world cooridnates are differnt from the oblivion ones. Though in theory if you do the math you can have them converted. Thus being able to import location data on various items. However, this all highly dependent on the fact that the cyrodil/Vvardenfel areas are the same scale as they were in their games. Summary: It would be cool to have the ability to return to other provinces. However it would would take the work of a dozen level designers working for months to complete either of the provinces. Thats not even counting building NPCs, quests Monster spawns etc etc etc Lets wait on the creation kit and go from there.
formalrevya
http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=41480 This is a mod for Fallout New Vegas that allows you to play the content of both fallout new vegas and fallout 3. I'm assuming that the only reason this hasn't come under legal fire is because you have to own a copy of fallout 3 and have the files installed to get the mod to work. But it may not have been noticed yet. At any rate the makers of the mod seem like they would know a lot about making this kind of thing work, moreso than someone in your posistion. Not that you'd have the same luck trying to do the same with oblivion and skyrim, There's too much of a difference in graphical quality for that. Still, it's a start. jeonitsoc
i'd love to see it, but it would need months of team work!
Diabolickal
Quick question: Is the goal to recreate Cyrodiil as it was in Oblivion, or would it be to create a modern Cyrodiil in the same age as Skyrim's storyline? Skyrim is 200 years after Mehrunes Dagon and the Oblivion crysis, this is the time frame I plan putting Cyrodiil in. It is doubtful that the Dragons returning would be restricted to Skyrim only, so I could expand this Dragon outbreak to Cyrodiil. Rumor has it the Cyrodil and Morrowind provinces are already in the game just not populated. Best method would be to attempt to import oblivion assets into skyrim i.e plants, trees, rocks, etc etc and have them imported into the game. Yea, check the blog post I link at the bottom of my post. http://ppsh-41.tumblr.com/post/13145143504/entire-tamriel-landmass-built-into-skyrimI plan to build off this, but use Skyrim's content as to not run into any legal issues
