NephilimNexus
Ran into M'aiq the Liar again in Skyrim. Some of you may recall this same Kajjit was also in Oblivion, and his dialog here is just as perplexing. Which makes me wonder... is his return in Skyrim some kind of light hearted joke/east egg on part of the developers, or some kind of hint that he may not really be what appears? After all, ES5 takes place 200 years after ES4, which would make M'aiq... well, let's say he's aged well.
angrytigerp
I was reading the collection of his lines on one of the Wikis, and in one of the games (Oblivion or Skyrim, I think) he says something which suggests he is descended from a line of Khajiit named M'aiq... so his father (or grandfather, or...) was the Oblivion M'aiq, his great-great-etc. grandfather was in Morrowind, and his grandson will probably be in Elder Scrolls VI. Unless TESVI is in Elsweyr like I hope it is, in which case we may meet the M'aiq family.
Aikospacerogue
If I'm not mistaking he was in Morrowind as well. I think he's and easter egg, although I found his dialogue in Oblivion more fun then now. edit: ha yeah that could explain xD Edited November 23, 2011 by Aikospacerogue
theRx
M'aiq was also in Morrowind. A number of his comments are rather tongue-in-cheek about changes in the series and fan opinions. Also one of his comments is that his father and grandfather were named M'aiq, so that lends to him being either their descendents or an immortal liar.
