Exporting your character from a savegame to a plugin

Hello,

 

first, let me say that I have very little experience when it comes to modding.

 

My question is:

Is it possible to load a savegame in the cs and then " copy" your character, including inventory, skills and face, to a plugin?

It would also be neccesary to change the created npc's faction so he/she would attack anything.

 

I ask this because I had the idea to give this plugin, that would basically insert my char as an npc into his game,

to a friend of mine who would then "clone" his character via the console (createfullactorcopy),

so both chars could fight an epic battle.

 

Silly, I know, but I think it would make a lot of fun.

 

So help me, is it possible?

It is possible, however it requires Wrye Bash.

 

When you get it, go into the Save Games tab and click "Export Face", then move it to an esp file of your choice. The NPC will automatically be made for you, so take note of the Editor ID Wrye Bash tells you to unless you feel like searching through the whole list.

 

There may be problems if your character is a custom race. If they are, then the simplest thing to do would be to export the face to the custom race's esp.

 

I think that's how I did it at least ;)

Thanks for the answer. If i do it this way, will my characters stats and inventory also be copied to the created NPC? Does WyreBashes "copy face" function do that?

 

Again, my aim is to simulate a fight between different player's chars.
