many menu items not in the 'vanilla' menus

I'm trying to find out what kind of edits mod authors use to insert their menus into the menu system. For instance, if I knew that .swf files were required to insert their menu into the vanilla menu system, then I could remove all mods with .swf files, one at a time, to figure out which one is blocking my vanilla menus from showing completely. If there is some other method of inserting the custom menu into the vanilla menu system then I could use that knowledge to troubleshoot my menu problem. I would appreciate any help or education that anyone can provide for me on how the menu system is edited. Thanks in advance.

What menus? Workshop menus? Crafting menus? Other various menus?

Anyway, crafting wise there are 0 needs for swf files. And of course, you can and should always do the old practice of disabling part of the plugins and testing to see if problem persists.

to Ethreon: I'm a newbie at using forums so forgive me if I'm not replying to your answer correctly. The workshop menus have missing items. For instance, after I finished Vault tec DLC, there is no option for building vault rooms. Several other menu items mentioned by other users don't appear in my workshop menus. It doesn't matter if I'm inside the vault 88 or some other settlement.

Workshop mods do not come with swf files. They come with plugins. You disable all workshop related plugins and then enable them one at a time until you find the guilty one . If you're using homemaker, then you can stop checking for that is your issue - you need to update it. IF you aren't using it, keep looking.
