raeldrikp
EDIT: Fixed the issue. Edited save file and changed gender. I'm asking because I was using JX Dragon Age Extended with its "wild surge" flag turned on. One of the effects was a random and permanent sex change- which hit Morrigan. This creates somewhat minor issues with her having a man's body, and having a floating head without a neck attaching the head to the body. But the larger problem is that her Robes of Possession don't appear on her, and cutscenes are now rather problematic. Is there a somewhat noob friendly way of changing her gender back. I figured console commands, but I think I can only change appearances (plus they don't seem to work, i.e. "runscript appearance -1, or whatever"). I tried the mod "metagame items" but I realized that this mod only can change the gender of the player character. So right now, I'm thinking either I try to edit the save file so that Morrigan's gender can be swapped or try to edit the metagame mod so that I can use the gender-swap item on all characters. Any ideas, guides, help? Edited August 4, 2016 by raeldrikp
willjk57
Is there a tutorial anywhere on how to change genders of companions and I want to make my whole party elves. I know it can be done but how?
LadyHonor
you would need to create new head morphs for them and after doing that, you would have to go to their creature file and change their info there. I'm not at my pc right now so I don't know the exact settings you would have to change, but i would start with changing any reference to human to elf. willjk57
Will the file have to be put in the override folder? Or does this change the game's base character for any playthru? I'm confused. There's that one post on changing Alistair into a woman, and to edit the .mrh file with notepad and then open that later in the toolset and change part selection to HF from HM. I see Alistair as a little elf Alistair (so cute!) but the resulting .mor in overrifde didn't change him in game.
LadyHonor
you will be changing core resources and if you do that it has the potential to break your game. I would either open a local copy of the character file and make all my changes or save the original with a diffierent name as a backup. as for editting the mrh in notepad, I'm not sure about that one. I would probably just make a new morph. put all of it in the override folder.
LadyHonor
about opening a local copy....it will not save your changes when the toolset closes. so be sure you make all your changes and export before closing the toolset. imo it's the safest way to do what you're trying to do. willjk57
Ok, so if I open Alistair's original .mrh from the global headmorphs, make it not read-only so I can make changes for saving in the toolset I just change part-selection, and export the .mor and then put it in the override? LadyHonor
well no. you're going to have to change the base model to elf and that is going to wipe out all the attributes that were changed to make the human Alistair. anyway you do it, you'll have to make a completely new morph. export it then put it in the override folder. willjk57
I will work and investigate and try again. Thanx. Since I don't bother with Sten, no chance of a Qunari elf. But what about plump little dwarf elves? Heh
