LycanGalen
Well I tried the sexchange command, as I hadn't done that yet. I got my head back! I was ecstatic! I was missing ears whenever I had a helmet on, and you couldn't actually see the helmet, but I had a head! And then I got on my horse and my head fell off, hit the ground, bounced once and fell through the earth. Any ideas?
Ungodlyone
I ended up loading some new mods and creating a new character. If anyone Has any knowledge on this, however, I would be grateful.
Pineapplerum
XD This thread is really funny. Sorry you guys lost your heads. Hope you're reunited with them soon. ;D
Pipzuk
Good news - and bad news! Unlike the graphical issues with the Mage's Robe, after decapitation the missing head appears to be an accidental "feature" rather than a glitch so I doubt any sort of transformation is going to do more than a double "sexchange". Incidentally, heads rolling down the road are funny but if you're venturing out and hear the sounds of someone behind you it may not be a potential pickpocket, it may be the errant head trying to catch up and bouncing along the floor! (I had one wonderful moment when I came out of my house in Whiterun and watched my head roll down the hill, past me, and off to come to a stop in the gutter by the City gate! OK, now for my investigations - from the console I have a "cause of death" listed as 2.0 whilst (obviously alive) nearby NPCs rate at -1, I'm assuming that 2.0 means decapitated! I'll bet that the head thing could be corrected if the cause of death can be reset to -1 but I haven't figured out how to do that! a console "resurrect" on my character just crashes the game, player.resurrect won't go either (maybe they couldn't think that it would be necessary!) maybe someone more familliar with the console may know an easy way to change whatever variable is at issue here? urebard
With my awesome level 33 warrior with super buffed one hand attacks, I decapitated a guard in a power attack. The body stayed upright but his head disappeared into his chest, travelled down inside his body and plopped out from under his kilt just like a chicken laying an egg. I howled and rolled like a loony just long enough for the other guards to kill me. Cheap shots!! I also met a guard in Riften who asked me if I was growing fur....out of my ears!! How did he know I was a werewolf? Barbus made me laugh in the Deadra's best friend quest. The wooden camp doors swooshed open and trapped him behind them. I could hear him barking away so I closed the doors to see his butt sticking out of the brickwork. He got out of there eventually, stupid mutt. JimboUK
Has anyone tried committing suicide and then letting the game reload, surely that would reset the death thing? I remember blowing yourself up in Fallout 3 used to fix some weirdness.

Gilibran
Use the console to disable / enable yourself? You could then use the console to set your stats & perks back to what they were before??
Susurruss
thought disabling yourself through the console caused an instant CTD?
Gilibran
lol dunno, ;) he's screwed anyway. But i dont think it crashes if you dont close the console in between. I'll check when i'm home
