Tirick
So I started playing the game a few weeks ago at 1920x1080 resolution, partly because I have a new 1080p monitor and I wanted to see if my v-card could run it. It worked...ok... but I got tired of the slight fps lag and backed it down to 1600x900, which is the exact same aspect ratio. However, on this, and all other settings in fullscreen '16:9" (save 1920x1080), there are black bands on the top and bottom of the screen. As a result, the image is a little 'fat', with characters a bit shorter/wider in perspective than at 1900x1080. Am I missing something? Should there be a block top/bottom border and I just got used to stretched-tall figures at the beginning, or are the black-bands not supposed to be there? When I play in windowed 16:9, the figures appear more like the 1900x1080 ratio, with the whole window used, but I could be just imagining it. Thank you,Tirick
HeirApparent
Sounds like a bug that doesn't really have a workaround. The only thing I can suggest is changing your desktop's resolution to 1600x900 and that might fix the problems between Skryim trying to change the resolution from the 1900x1080 Desktop to 1600x900 Skyrim. After putting my opinion on the problem in there, thought this would also deserve a well deserved bump due to no replies and an interesting issue.
