  1. I simply can't use the Vampire Lord power. I've tried verifying the game cache, but that didn't work. I sat through a 2,000 MB download only for it to not work. I read somewhere that the problem was because of using a custom race. That makes no sense, however, as I have never used a custom race and one of my friends even did the entire Dawnguard quest having a custom race mod on (even though he wasn't using it, it's still not an issue because I never ever have). What could cause this glitch? Well, I also read that it could be a save problem. However, if it is a save problem, then there's no way I'm going to make a new character and start all over again. I have over 140 hours logged onto my Orc and have collected tons of rare weapons. I think we should try to figure this one out. Bethesda won't have a patch, or even an answer, for likely a very long time.
  2. Only mod I've found really just puts in about 5 - 10 more NPC's in cities. Any mod out there to further increase the spawns? Preferably around 20 or so NPC's?
  3. Wow, Vagrant0. You have gone far beyond what I'm asking for. Thanks for all the great information! Will note for reference. :) Thanks. I shall go with the Certified CPU Fan and Heatsink. The computer doesn't need the liquid-cooling from my specs (according to the manufacture's tech support), And kudos to you, sir!
  4. Yeah I get the markup, but it doesn't bother me too much. I'd build my own if I knew what I was doing, and didn't have so much bad luck with self-installation! :P I can't make anything without there being 5,000 problems. Took me 30 minutes to install my router signal booster! :P But anyways, you're saying I should go without the liquid cooling? Only reason it's on there is because I didn't deselect it. I thought that might cause problems with 8 processors, 3 high end graphics cards, and a high-end motherboard. So no liquid cooling should be a no problem situation? Certified CPU Fan and Heatsink is my only other option. I also went with more memory. 16 GB [4 GB X4] DDR3-1600 Memory Module like you suggested right?
  5. Well I'm not going to build my own PC, and nobody here can change that idea. :P
  6. Well, lets face it. I know a lot about computers, but only software. I don't know much of anything about their hardware except for stuff like graphics cards. 7. Well with no response from the person who made the current Dragon Priest Hood Removal, I'm asking someone else to do this. I imagine it wouldnt be hard, because the other person did it (but only made it compatible with circlets for some reason) and they didn't seem like an expert mod maker. So could someone please mod the removal of the hood so I can wear it with any other hood? Wouldn't it be awesome to wear these epic masks with thieves guild armor? Or when in full mage robes?
  8. It's a bug with the game, and we're going to have to wait for a fix. It has been confirmed on all three systems that sometimes the word walls don't work, and sometimes souls aren't even taken from dragons.
  9. Installing and reinstalling the game doesn't work with Bethseda games and Steam. Its always been like that. They have the game set up so that it reinstalls the game exactly the way it was before it uninstalled. However, I think the problem might be with your graphics card somehow. Your graphic card should be able to run the game at a higher level than it appears to in your pictures, and I also noticed that you're running a Nvidia card. Have you tried rooting around your Nvidia settings? Nvidia cards like to randomly, without reason, turn off certain settings from time to time. Mine does that, and it turns off three of my processors. Try looking into your graphics drivers settings.
  10. Can anybody offer some insight on this? I know it's not the worst thing on here, but it's truly very annoying if you know how it feels.
  11. We can't do anything about that. You'd have to alter the actual game itself, and I'm not sure it can easily be done. Simply modding the game might not be enough.
  12. Just goes to show you that the crazy people, like myself, that tend to point out the little things (cleaning your computer, updating your drivers) shouldn't be overlooked. :P Of course I didn't say anything earlier in this topic, but hopefully you understand my point. On the topic of your CPU Fan, check for clogging and listen carefully for any weird noises. How old is your computers fan? The motor might be dying.
  13. Skyrim is very bugged out, but the more I think about it the more it seems to be a problem with the save system. Even though you still might have the problem eventually on a different game, the save system tracks every little thing that you do. Therefore, if you do something that doesn't agree with the quest and it gets saved, it's perpetually stuck that way in the game because the save overwrites the precedent set by the main game (otherwise, there would be no ability to save, correct?). What I am getting at is - there's nothing you can do until the save system gets altered a little bit. Instead of saving character progress like in Fallout 3, it saves GAME progress. They had a great idea, but it's really messing things up.
  14. Try setting the option to " 0 " and then loading the launcher. While the launcher is loaded, change it back to " 1 " and save the file. Then close the launcher, and then reopen it. Might work, might not. Let's hope?
  15. If you're on the PC, then try the "sexchange" command. Then enter it again if you wish to go back to your regular sex (don't worry, your character will look no different from when you made him / her). This should fix the problem, but if it doesn't then your only option might just be the one below. WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILER BELOW! --- --- --- --- If you've completed the Companion quests and can change into a werewolf, try doing so. It should reset your entire avatar after the effect wears off. This also fixes the arrow glitch.
  16. Have you tried waiting two days for the cells to reset?
  17. What is your computer, and what's your graphics card? I know your card is probably more than qualified, but please share the information.
  18. It's a bugged quest. There's nothing you can do about it unless you know how to mod and can find / fix all the errors. I would have suggested using the console, but considering you've already tried - all you can do is wait for the patch or simply move on.
  19. Do a full uninstall of your mod manager and all your mods. Uninstall the launcher via the conventional method, then find the old folder and delete any remaining files. After that is finished, delete all of your mods (but be careful not to delete the wrong things so make a backup!). Then go to the Nexus and find your download history, redownload the mod manager, and all of your mods. Also make sure to check any notes in said mods to make sure there isn't a different method of installation that goes with them. Or you can take the alternative method and simply install your mods through the drag and drop / data files activation method.
  20. Uninstall through Steam and re-download is all I can really think of. If it doesn't download the patch on launch, then that's all you can do honestly. And if it says it is patched, then it probably is patched.
  21. Sounds like a bug that doesn't really have a workaround. The only thing I can suggest is changing your desktop's resolution to 1600x900 and that might fix the problems between Skryim trying to change the resolution from the 1900x1080 Desktop to 1600x900 Skyrim. After putting my opinion on the problem in there, thought this would also deserve a well deserved bump due to no replies and an interesting issue.
  22. I am having a problem with my PS3 version of Skyrim. Of course, it's not as annoying as the PS3 Lag Stutter glitch is, but it makes it rather hard to see quest rewards, and things like that. And what I find just as awesome is the fact that the PS3 Lag problem will take away any sort of acknowledgment of this problem (I've seen other people have the problem, but thanks to the worlds finest smart people [sarcasm]... it never got solved). All the edges of the screen are zoomed in too far. On the store menus, I can see everything just fine, but in the bottom left I can notice that a good portion of the buttons are off-screen (cutoff). Any sort of text that pops up in the top left of the screen is mostly cutoff by the top and left side of the TV. Thankfully, my compass is still fine but it is rather close to the screen's edge from what I see in videos of other people. Also, whenever I go to the location there's no text in the top right because that's cutoff too (didn't even know it was there until I saw videos on Youtube). TL;DR version: HUD is cut off in some menus, all quest rewards (gold, etc) can barely be seen due to such, and it's not my TV. Only happens on Skyrim. Therefore, it's a Skryim only problem. Please don't beat around the same old stuff like the people in this discussion: http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20111110234604AAXddo4
  23. Open up your console, and toggle god mode "ON". Save your game, toggle god mode "Off" and then reload your game. Now your game should load with god mode off, but being that you still manually turned it off - it should correct itself.
  24. Yeah, I'm going to avoid doing this. This topic can be closed now. Sorry about talking about something that can't be discussed here. :P From what I've done so far, Skyrim has more than enough content and play-ability to be on the console without any serious repercussions anyways.
  25. Dang nabbit. :-\ Lol. I would give my right leg if I could at least just be able to use visual mods for the console versions. They make the game that much better..
