nivea
I was actually pleased that a lot of the main characters you are involved with at the start of the main quests are female: Lady general person at the start of the game who tries to behead you, she was badass.Whiterun you have the Jarls right hand female Dunmer who is again badass.Lydia who I do not like but again strong female warrior. The first Blade member you meet, again a badass female warrior. Hell even the first Companion you speak to is Aela The Huntress and Ria. You look everywhere in Skyrim and find strong female characters for good or evil sides, I myself was pleased to see all of these.... Even interacting with random families you often find the women are strong and a lot of time in charge of the business or family. There are female Jarls even. insatiablelust
i always thought females had a higher chance of being born. its slight but its there, its not 50/50 in your average modern day culture
Pushkatu
As far as I'm concerned, I would love to be the only guy in the world, heheh. I am pleased to see more interactive/quest related female NPCs simply becouse I prefer to interact with a female, rather than a male. I don't know if it's competition or something else, but that's how I feel. If I take my orders from a female NPC, the quests seem to be more enjoyable. I think females are the true artists of this world, heck I even like my room more, when a female cleans it, it feels more like home. When I do it, it's just done... Sepherose
Scientific intervention isn't training; that's like giving a woman cybernetic muscle replacements and then saying she's trained to become stronger than a man. No she hasn't, there was no training on her part, just somebody cutting her open and giving her a gift; same can be said about a man being scientifically intervened into pregnancy. I'm pointing out the reality that, the two genders aren't created equal, and that's a good thing, but it has nothing to do with equality; people who want to be treated equally will prove themselves to be equal. Otherwise, arguing over the differences is a waste of time, because the idea of being equal at birth is really just a myth, particularly if you take into account things like congenital disorders and the like. If you couldn't tell, I knew that wasn't what you meant by training, I was being silly. Introducing some humor into the dialogue. I didn't say the genders are equal from birth, did I? I only pointed out that each gender has certain physical areas where they are naturally inclined. I never implied that individuals are born equal either, that would be preposterous. You seem to be adding things into what I said and taking things somewhat out of context simply to argue with me, and i find that fairly distressing. So to list my points directly and simply:1. I know scientific alteration is not "training", I reiterate, I was trying to add in some humor.2. Of course no two people are born equal, genetics is far too complicated for such a thing to happen. The closest you can get with that is identical twins.3. The genders are not equally good at everything, simply put, typically men are stronger, women are faster, men can tell distance easier, women can pick out color better, and the list goes on, in the end, they are not equal, but neither is better. Equal would mean that they can match each other in any physical feat, and that won't happen, a prime specimen from the male populous pitted against a prime specimen from the female populous, given tasks alternating between the natural strengths of the genders, will be a pretty even split. Geeze... can't let a guy try to lighten the mood... :psyduck:
Aegrus
This topic shifted completely. It began as a lore topic, step by sexist topics. Even Robynah use this intelligent comment, which made me very angry: "And Male RPGs are too. In real life stats We have decided how much money That (exp) we make in life; These stats are: height (men Have more), testosterone (men Have more), lean muscle mass (men Have more), aggression (men Have more) and beching weight. Everyone knows from highschool These stats except for Themselves in europe, asia, africa, south america, Australia Where There are not Any real men. " << that's completely offensive. then show me how it behaves a real man because many of us live in one of those countries. but I will not talk about it, women can suffer / bear things that men don't, and vicebersa. The game was initially created with orientation to male audience, but doesn't discriminate against women. in Tamriel's history there were many important women, and in any case the best thing you can do when you don't like something, change it. Yep, I found Robynah to be offensive as well, and I'm not even one of the criticized groups. I almost went on a hate rant against him, but I restrained myself. Aegrus
Women would not be equal in skyrim for the same reason women can't be superheros. Women do not have the physical structure to resist a sledgehammer to the face or throw a car over their head. Only men could train to that level if it possible. Fantasy lets you play with the laws of physics but the natural law of biology is incontrovertible. Men can't take a sledgehammer to the face either. Arcadiast
where are the female Dragonborns? the correct question should be "where are the female DRAGONS?" or as my good friend Paarthurnax would say "Aaan Fundein Ro*, I am tired of making love to myself" *just wanted to throw in a little humor to lighten up the topic!...translation from Dragon Language may not be exact! P.S.Men can't take a sledgehammer to the face either. oh yes! they can...the problem is actually AFTER that! Matth85
Geeze... can't let a guy try to lighten the mood...It is proven that if you do not have an extensive use of smileys in your post, people will take it as serious.... Yup. People take everything serious without a smiley, for some reason. It's not like the world is serious enough as it is, we have to keep it all serious with a straight face on a game forum too. Unless, of course, you use smileys. Then evertybody gets in a good mode.I've never understood it. I probably never will. Eh, let's add a smiley so people can see I am not serious or depressed: :D
