Skyrim homes

If bethesda are talentless freaks, no reason to have a house in one of their games.

And what do you mean by storage and common sense? The current houses are nothing 'astounding' (if a house can be astounding..) but they do have quite a few objects in them, decent arrangements, and storage chests.

Ugh, have you actually plaid the game? The storages in the houses are awful. Proudspire manor for example, there are no storage next to either alchemy lab or enchanters table. Actually, the only storage in the whole basement is a few barrels and some sacks. And a bugged weapon rack. And no display cases whatsoever. And for some reason the storage can't be arranged by category, so you need several places to put your enchanting equipment alone, less you want to spend time looking for the items you need. Also, filled soul gems wont stack always, which creates extra objects in the storage.

For some reason the alchemy lab in proudspire has half a dozen bookshelves. Whats the big idea with that? I ain't going to place my ingredients on those, its too troublesome.

Well, I can't speak for possum440 but I'd really like a house/manor big enough to keep all my housecarls in there and the ability to order them to live there, of course, on top of a snowy mountain where I could safely transform into a werewolf and howl to the moon. A stable to keep all the horses I bought (which would be nice for when/if a mod that let your companion use a horse is released) and a special, fancier stable for my main horse (Shadowmere). All the crafting, alchemy and enchanting tables, cooking pot and all the smithing tools, including the smelter, with storage boxes nearby each (there could be 2 storage boxes near the smithing tools: one for armor and another for weapons). And some random house-keepers that could act as vendors (the excuse could be that you ordered them to buy stuff for you).

That would be my Skyrim dream house.

Yes. That is very close to my dreamhouse too, except, I would have a wing for my personal army, which I would send to do my bidding. Why is it that everyone is bossing the player around? Like, I am the frikkin' archmage, and my subordinate asks ME to go get some dremer cogs? Why can't I send a joinee of the college to do it for me? :D

Or in general send NPC's into random dungeons to explore. They would most probably get killed, most of the time, but sending em in bunches and looking at the damage they did would be quite fun. Not sure if that requires scripting an NPC attack for every dungeon tho, would be a bit too much work for a housemod.

I am ready for custom houses, i was disappointed that i spent 25,000 gold on proudsipre manor + 5000 more for the furnishings and i had as much display space as i did in Breezehome. But the jarl's steward said " no backies"

- for my dream-house id be happy with an exterior home in one of those towers you find, with non bugged weapon racks all around and a few mannequins to hold my dwarven armor and weapon collection. (I'm aware that i could sell them and or craft them, but if the dwarfs are gone i like to think that these pieces are rare, so i keep them. and they look badass  )

-and a bed, and just three chests one for other weapons, one for armor and one for mis (books, notes, gems, hides etc)
