the_old_wolf
From the fresh install on release date "vanilla version" even till now with "immerseive water" and "full HD water" mods installed the water throughout skyrim has been so seethrough its barely noticeable. It seems to me (a long time modd user) that the water I am seeing is the effects and no textures are loading. Below is a screenshot and my PC specs for good measure. Also I searched and searched for another topic on this problem so if I double posted I appologize. I realize it could be that my graphics card is just not built to handle Skyrim, but if that's the case then why does the rest of the game run with no slow down in FPS? THANK YOU TO ALL MODDERS AND HELP I GET ON THIS! :) I Love using the mods from the nexus (40+ on Oblivion) and appreciate very much all the help I get from here. If there is any way I can contribute pls just pm me. the_old_wolf
Yes rivers waterfalls all same as yours. I would say is because I am running onboard (built into MOBO) graphics card. But my father has an acer laptop with the ATI Radeon HD 4250 (the same as mine but mobile version which means its onboard also) and not only does his water look AMAZING but he is getting medium - high quality details and I am getting medium - low. He said his mobo dedicates 2gb of ram to the GPU so I am trying to figure out how to tell mine to do the same and see if that fixes this. I will keep u posted. If u figure it out pls let me know how. :wallbash:

A fan patch worked for me. http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=953 Water looking great just as it should! Plus, particle effects are working. I had no idea there was fog floating around the mountain tops in Skyrim. :psyduck: I really hope it helps you out too. xsile
I have this exact same issue and have tried several water mods to correct it but nothing is working so far. I am running four sapphire 3870x2 cards. I have tried with and without crossfire enabled. I have fiddled with all the settings in catalyst over the last couple days and still nada. MonsterMonkey
Try to add these lines in your Skyrim.ini (my document/my games/Skyrim) in the (Water) section... bUseCubeMapReflections=1fCubeMapRefreshRate=0.0000 I have an extented ini (obtained by typing saveini in console command ingame) if you have the original 2kb ini just paste these lines if your ini is 42kb (like mine) search for these line in (water) and if you see =0 instead of =1 on the first line above just change it.By trying several Tweaks (i like to experience stuffs) i tried to put 0 instead of 1 on the first line (so Cube map reflects are off) and it disabled water just like on your screens so it may be that one,but i don't guaranty any result anyway try it. Anyway here is the complete (water) section on my Skyrim.ini you can copy it directly from here and paste it on yours and try different settings. vmsfallout
I am currently having this issue and I can find no solution despite trying for 2 hours already. I tried using some mods as well (HD 2K and W.A.T.E.R), but neither helped. Any ideas? System: CPU: Phenom quad4RAM: 4gbWindows 8GPU: ATI Raedon 3870 512mb Currently on medium settings, but even if I go to low settings it does nothing. I verified files through steam and all I get for that is having to redo my control settings (e.g mouse sensitivity).
