Deleted1205226User
Hello, having some humility is good, self depreciation is not! Everybody has to start somewhere. Audacity is a free, easy-to-use, multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux and other operating systems. The interface is translated into many languages. It should help you with the mixing part. Be warned though, NV music/radio system is quite bugged. If you plan to have a mod published with music in it, make sure to use copyright free material. madmongo
I'll second the recommendation for Audacity. While it is fairly easy to use once you get used to it, it's a bit quirky in the way that it works. Once you get used to how it works, it's very easy to use. For example, even though it has a save function, you usually don't want to save. What you usually want to do is export your selected tracks. Also, make sure you have something selected. You may have a bunch of stuff open, but if it isn't selected, Audacity will end up writing a blank file out. If you are mixing a few different tracks and you only have one track selected, Audacity will only export that one track. Once you get used to things like this, it is very easy to use and it is a very powerful track editor, mixer, etc. If I remember correctly (and I'm an old fart so there's no reason to believe that I am remembering anything correctly) NV radio tracks need to be mono. If your music is stereo, you can use Audacity to mix it down to one track.
