Unofficial Oblivion Patch

Hi all,

Does anyone actually use the Unofficial Oblivion Patch? I have a number of mods I like to play with but if I activate the unofficial oblivion patch, none of them work. And vice versus, if I turn off the unofficial mod patch, they all work fine.

In fact, I am finding the unofficial mod patch does not work with just about anything I install.

I spent 4 hours tracking down conflicts after installing a number of mods. And many of the mods I installed are popular and common mods like eshmes bodies, illuminated within, PJs spell compendium and many more. After wasting all this time, all I ended up turning off the unofficial oblivion patch and suddenly everything worked and I was able to load the game.

Does anyone happen to have a list of mods that do work with the unofficial oblivion patch or is this something to just not use due to the large number of problems?

It is a bit surprising in that something touted as being a patch to fix thousands of bugs works with almost nothing I can find.

Well actually plenty of people use it. Otherwise they wouldnt be updating them and making new versions.

I personnally dont use and know of many people that dont either because of bugs and conflicts.

I personally cant even get it to run. I install it and everytime I try to run it crashes my game.

I use to be like you. Everyonme saying so many great things about it and I appeared to be the only one with problems but your not alone my friend! :D

I use it with everything, and consider it part of my Basic Intstall. (before any other non Beth mods)

Your problems may be coming from your load order and your auto archive invalidation system.

For me OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) is also a part of my Basic Install.

It solves a lot of problems automaticly.

Most likely the problems are stemming from time date stamps.

Run a search for OBMM on the download side of the board.

Give it a try. Good Luck

I use the Eshme's bodies with the Unoficial Oblivion Patch, as well as 49 other mods (as of last count) I haven't seen any problems related to the UOP with mine.

Yeah, I always use the unofficial patches and have never had any troubles with it and other mods. I'm running about 80 or so .esp mods and many other pure texture and mesh replacers. Load order is important with the unofficial patches, and possibly installation order as well (QTP3 for example).
