diamonddrago
How many times have we had important quests F-ed up because a hapless AI causes an NPC to come into the line of fire, and then to start attacking the player in mid combat?.... Like at the very beginning of the game at the odil (or something) farm.....with goblins swarming in and to have one of the NPCs run in from of you and get killed....or start attacking you.... I do not know why this has not been corrected yet by bethesda...but most importantly the other modders..... :psyduck:
blackninja50
Bump I want a friendly fire Mod to, I am sick and tired and tired and sick of killing my companions because they get in the way x.x
BeingShotAt
Another possibility is a mod to change the AI so friendly npcs will stay the freak out of your way I do not know why this has not been corrected yet by bethesda...but most importantly the other modders..... Likely because... 1. No one thought of it 2. Most problems are with enemies ignoring you and going straight for your companions so...usually this isn't the main problem most people think of 3. You realize you can yield to a friendly npc you've accidentally hit right? Edited December 6, 2011 by BeingShotAt
Keirgarth
Friendly fire is a little bit of a pain, but careful aiming helps a lot, and you are able to move in combat to get your friends out of your line of fire. You just have to worry when they run in front of an already launched missile or magic attack.
chakaru11
What I think is even worse is that friendly fire doesn't work both ways -.- NPCs have every right to attack youafter you accidently hit them. But if you are hit by a friendly NPC's attack and defend yourself, you go to jail >.< Taking that into consideration, changing those scripts might be a bit complicated. Especially because the entire yield system was probably put in the game to solve this situation.
documn
I took a quick shot at making a friendly-fire mod a while back: BFF4L. I made it sorta jokingly, but apparently some people found it useful.I also made Smarter Ally Combat Positioning. It's in an even more unfinished state than BFF4L, but it may also be useful to you. Nephenee13
There's a Wrye Bash Tweak for this. You can just set the number of hits required to something really high.
