  1. Forge clutter in general is a problem in Skyrim. A customization workbench and only the base versions being craftable would help. Although I would rather have a cluttered crafting menu then not have the choices :s You can disable the creations ESL and not have them in the game, for backpacks you could just make a mod that disables the crafting recipes of all but the 3 base backpacks.
  2. salmon no longer drop salmon meat when picked now you get the whole fish if you have fishing active.
  3. Maybe if you have a second steam acount? or try Skyrim Lite Loader mod? also if you have a laptop you could update skyrim on one and not the other?
  4. Try DEF UI, I think it expands the size of the crafting menu but not sure.
  5. You don't put the files back into the ba2 (that will brake things) you just put the edited directly into the games data folder fallowing the file structure that it had in the ba2. If you retexture the longjohns/raider02 you would take your edited texture and put it onto the games data folder. To do that, go to the folder where the fallout 4 exe is then open the gamdata folder then textures (or make one if there is none) then make a folder called armor then inside that folder make one called raider and put your edited texture in that folder. The game engine will use the new edited file in the folder (lose files have priority over ba2 files) and use the edited texture. If you want your new retexture to be a new armor you need to make an esp using the creation kit or fallout 4 edit, the second tutorial I liked explains how to do that better. Also this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/32794 is a simple long johns retexture it might be useful to download it and examine the files to see how it works (all modding is based on reverse engineering). Good luck :)
  6. Q: My Data folder just has a bunch of ba2. Are these just compressed packets with the clothing and stuff in them ? A: yes Q: Is that what the extractor is for? and if you use the extractor is it just taking a copy without removing the original item? or does it extract that item and you must put it back somehow? A: Yes that is what the extractor is for and yes it just copies the files. No you don't need to repackage them just put the edited files in the data folder fallowing the folder structure. Q: How would I find an item of clothing such as the longjohns for example take those and edit them then get them back into game? A: Longjohns are called Raider02 I think and are under textures/armor/raider I think or mesh/armor/raider Raider02 for the mesh ie the 3d module. Here is a tutorial for photoshop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anA7lmmmtqA How to make retextures be a new armor. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cd96ZD3cAJw&t=254s A more detailed longer one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ND-rCvhyP0k And a pdf none video tutorial https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/37112?tab=files
  7. Maroons razor, it's a vial weapon forged by the dadric lord Mehrunes Dagon, it has the ability to kill almost any foe with but a single strike. Admittedly it's not a sword but it dose surly seem the kind of weapon a necromancer would use. There's also stalhrim from the land of Solstheim, it's said that all frost enchantments are stronger when placed upon stalhrim items. A fitting weapon could sourly be forged from it if enough can be acquired. I've also heard tails of the "Earthice Sword" a strange weapon from another land, originally forged by squall then brought to skyrim by one named megatrainer. Good day. Heard any news from the other provinces?
  8. If white/Heterosexual pride mods only serves as a covert attack then black/gay pride mods are no different (unless you want to say white/Heterosexual is bad), that's a two way street. It's irreverent if one side has had it better then the other unless one is a bad thing, if both are okay both should be allowed to be displayed. Also taking pride in your skin color or who you do it with is pretty silly and superficial, it's not like it should matter at all.
  9. Awesome! Happy to have helped.
  10. Okay, you have a *** ton of mods installed. Looks like you have all the Live Dismemberment ESPs active, you're only supposed to install one esp (make sure to always read the readme). Also there are two versions of that mod "Increased Headshot Damage" and "No Increased Headshot Damage" I think you have the Increased Headshot Damage one so just disable all the Live Dismemberment esps and see if that fixes it. PS: Some mod added guns are crazy over powered so make sure to check the guns damage. With max perks and no chems 220 damage is about as high as vanilla guns get.
  11. Thanks for the input. I have used and set up windows 10 PCs before (still do on my laptop), it was the most frustrating, slow, ugly and unfinished OS i Have ever used (I liked pre service pack 1 vista more). For all this I found no benefits that mattered, I would be happy to stay windows 7 forever but the writing is on the wall one day I will have to move to a new OS. I know that for me getting games to work well on Linux will be like the doctor punching his way threw the Azbantium wall (changing to windows 10 would be about the same) but if I have to punch threw this figurative wall then I would rather the open source world of Linux be on the other side then the hell of windows 10. I decided to get a Ryzen 7 instead of 5 and added a western digital SSD and have ordered the parts.
  12. So, with windows 7 being murdered in 9 months I'm moving to mint Linux (#NeverWindows10) and rather then trying to shift from windows to Linux on my 10 year old work horse Desktop i'm planning to build a new one and upgrade. My plan is to build a new PC get it built up and running Linux then move my storage hard drives and data over to it. I have a GeForce GTX 1060 (downgraded from an AMD Radeon 7950) that I could reuse but it struggles with even fallout 4 on high settings so I planed to go to a Radeon RX Vega 64, it should be all around better and play nice with Linux. For the rest I was planning on a MSI B450 motherboard, AMD Ryzen 5 2600, EVGA 750 power supply and a Cooling master HAF 912-Mid tower As the case. Full build here. Now, the main reason I'm posting is that I'm not really knowledgeable in PC parts or software and am not sure these parts will work together or even fit in the case or not. So now I'm here looking for any advice or input on my build or even a "that will explode if you do that" Thanks.
  13. Because faces are hard to get looking good for a lot of people and people like good looking characters shrug.
  14. Yes, I did get it working not in the way I wanted too but working all the same. I was able to use the armor index function to swap custom armor meshes to get the same effect mostly. You can find the topic where I got help (Help with armor connection points) on a not safe for work modding forum that's name I'm not allowed to say here but ends with lab. In the end I loaded the hat in outfit studio moved the pin I wanted to attach into place set the hat as the reference. Right click the pin mesh and selected "copy bones weights" hit OK. Double clicked the pin selected "geometry" ticked skinned and hit OK. after this i went to File/export/to niff with reference and renamed the new niff. So I made a new mesh with the pin attached to it. Now In order to get it in game I went into the CK, made a new AA (Armor Addon) using the new mesh then edited the helmet to have it's vanilla AA as armor index 1 and the new one as index 2 then set up a Object mod that just set index to 2 then set up crafting recipes and so on. Note: If you don't tick skinned in the geometry tab it dose not work. The mod I used this in is rather large and extensive but here is the pin part cut out (needs DLC to work) maybe it will help. Edit: can't attach the file (to big) had to upload it elsewhere https://uploadfiles.io/96pcy will only be available tell 9/26/18
  15. you can't, you need gimp or Photoshop and a dds plugin or dds plugin for Photoshop.
  16. Go to fallout 4s install folder (where the exe file is located) then open the Data folder and Look for Fallout4 - Meshes & Fallout4 - Textures1 to 9 Then you will need Bethesda Archive Extractor to extract the files to a different location. Note: Fallout4 - Meshes has the Meshes for EVERYTHING in the game so I would suggest only extracting the armor and clothing sub folders.
  17. I pre ordered vault 76 and I'm yanking the mesh, textures, animation and rigging it up in fallout 4. I'm getting that gun damn it!
  18. Like this? https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/637/
  19. If you produce as much or less corn then settlers then chances are your settlers are eating it all. I have found that some times settlers only eat one type of crop thus producing no surplus of that crop. If nether of the things I have said are your problem then your game is probably bugged.
  20. Can a scope tag and track a target in real life? No The only thing like that in real life is the targeting computer on a tank or aircraft. But it's nothing like what you see in game.
  21. In the vanilla game: Crops stop producing food if total amount of food in the workbench (where food is any item with the ObjectTypeFood keyword, see image) exceeds 10 + settler count.Water pumps and purifiers stop producing surplus purified water if total amount of water (purified water, dirty water and the drugged water from HalluciGen) exceeds 5 + 0.25 * settler count, rounded down.Unassigned settlers, and settlers assigned to a scrapping station stop producing scrap if total scrap exceeds 100 + 5 * settler count. A single unit of scrap is defined as any component, or any item that can be deconstructed into components (all junk). Yes, that means even if you only tear down half a dozen trees and leave the wood in a workbench, your settlers will decide their work is done and never scavenge again.Fertilizer production only works with the first 3 brahmin at a settlement, any more have no effect.Vendors only produce up to 50 caps per day in each settlement.Annoyingly, this behavior is intentional. From this mod -----> https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12430
  22. I looked for the hat mesh to see if it was just displaced but did not find it. As for the miss named miss named ap_prefix, I guess I missed that I don't think it has anything to do with my problem tho....
  23. I'm currently trying to use multiple Armor Addons and switch between them using armor index but attaching a junk item to a armor mesh is beyond me. I can't find any tutorials online for doing it and combining them like you would static items dose NOT work. At this point i fell like giving up and accepting that I'm never getting this to work.
