redhead33445
Can someone explain or point me to an explanation of what FXAA is and what it does? I see so many FXAA mods on Nexus - how do I know if they will run on my system? Will they work in DX 9, or do I need to upgrade my video card to DX 10 or 11? (I just installed the 4-29-11 update to DX9.) If I install an FXAA mod and I don't like it, can I easily remove it? Do I need to make backup file copies before I install any FXAA mod? I'm fairly computer savvy so installing mods isn't a problem (I've played TES2, 3, and 4 and played heavily modded TES3 and 4). I just really would like some more color in my world and maybe a less over-processed feel to what I look at. Also, I didn't DL the game via Steam. I'm guessing the Day0 Update.esm isn't the update people are complaining about messing with the FXAA settings. Or is it? And I will be installing the 4GB Enhancement to my game. Thanks in advance and kudos to all the modders out there who spend so much time for little $$$. It's the awesome modding community that keeps me playing Bethesda's games. My friends don't get that about me, but YOU all know what I mean. My system: Core 2 Duo E84004 GB RAMWin 7 32-bitAMD Radeon 4870 Have a Happy Thansgiving, everyone. I'm thankful to be playing yet another awesome TES game!
HWG
As for FXAA... http://lmgtfy.com/?q=FXAA And as for what it does FXAA injectors push new shaders into a game to enhance the visual quality. It is DX9 If you didn't acquire the game through steam then how did you get it? :/
topeira
FXAA mods are really rather simple and small changes on top of the image. Usually all they do is sharpen the textures, add contrast and change the colors. The mod doesnt effect FPS at all, as far as i can tell.
