Werewolves: a real curse

I was looking foward to being a werewolf in skyrim but then I realized how it kinda sucked. The biggest thing that bothers me is that being a werewolf is supposed to be a curse, yet you can control it by using just a spell like thing and it only last a little while. I would like it to be like a curse so like when the moons came out you were forced to be one and I had to plan out better when you were in cities and areas like that; this would actually give it the feeling of a curse. The time that you stayed a werewolf should last the whole night to as that makes more sense than 60seconds. But so it's not annoying never being at a place at night being a werewolf there should be a potion you can buy that will make you stay human but only for the night so you have to stock up. These are ideas for a mod that would help but I want to hear others so please feel free to contribute your ideas too. Not much can be done with out the creation kit at the moment but when it does I'm sure we will be all over that thing.

maybe it could be a mood that forces the wolfies to be force turned one night in a month and the rest of the time they can controle it?

 

That is a good idea like its not completely uncontrollable but one day it isnt and on that one day (or maybe like two or three in a month) it's a longer and more powerful transformation.

Something similar to the Curse of Hircine mod for Oblivion would work, or even the Werewolves from Bloodmoon. I was hoping that was how Werewolves would originally play out in Skyrim. It's not as fun if you can change whenever you want in my opinion.

How about making it a curse and a blessing at the same time, you can't controll the inner beast, but in combat, like say...you are low on health, your inner animal is brought out simply because your beast follows basic survival instinct and tries to save your ass. Your health is full again in addition to the 100 you get from turning. The opposition can still kill you, but you get a last stand..for example at 10% health once a day? or maybe only during full moon to make it less OP? So basicly the inner beast is controllable, but will not show until the beast enrages when you are at 10% health, this will make room for you to heal yourself before that time if you want to restrain your inner beast, maybe even have semi formations at 25% where you begin to show wolfish signs (the eyes and some fur and hands starting to take shape as claws.

 

for example you could also have a skill that you can use to calm the inner beast each day, if you want to keep the beast in check hunt animals for blood to satisfy the beast or meditation maybe?

This may sound extremly complicated, but when i read this post the idea just popped into my head :P
