I would bet that somebody gets some kind of multiplayer mod working eventually... probably 5+ years from now. Even then, it'd probably be laggy, buggy, and it wouldn't probably be compatible with other mods. Even with all those problems, it'd still probably be local-only.

All it takes is someone starting the mod. The tricky parts will be AI mainly and showing other users equipment. Movement is simple enough and is always the easiest to code when it comes to multiplayer.

AI would require a huge recode and would be the heaviest thing on the server. If you do it wrong, you have tons of monsters sending data to the server and it causes lag as was the problem in obliviononline mod.

 

If someone wants to do multiplayer they need to start on it in january and stay with it... else the next elderscroll will come out and no one will care about the multiplayer mod.

Somethings up... I managed to read all the comments immediately before it went under review.. I wouldn't DL that mod yet, just my opinion.

 

From what I could read, there's no virus contained but you still are sending a lot of your information to somebody you don't know.

 

EDIT: If you downloaded it you are taking an incredible risk.. The author has an account less than 5 days old, and that file has been up for only 4 hours. Call me a skeptic, but basic internet common sense says don't download it yet. 3 comments reported it as a virus, but a moderator ran it through a virus check and said it came clean. Still though you are opening an connection between your computer and the authors. To me that's potentially much more severe than a virus.

yea mod makes me smile without CK its possible! so love to see a actual muliplayer mod. only need co-op :) then we expand it into a 64 player server ahahahah
