Matterspourington
So I got Shadowmere a few days ago and I'm happy with her, she's an awesome horse. The problem is that she isn't stabled like she is in Oblivon so she follows you EVERYWHERE... Ok, so all you fellow TES fans know what it's like, whether you're a warrior charging into battle wielding an axe, or a wizard conjuring all manners of arcane energy to blast your opponents into Oblivion, it's really epic and the atmosphere is one of the things that makes these games so great. However, every time the music starts and enemies are charging at me, my stupid horse runs in and gets right in the way!!! She's obviously much faster than I am, so if she's not alerting a whole tribe of orcs I was stalking, (stalking with a bloody big horse following me everywhere.. :wallbash:), then she's speeding off ahead of me stealing my kills and thus my fun!! I ended up resorting to using the KILL command in the console just to get rid of her... but I like her, I just wish she wasn't so aggressive!! So I'm sick of KILL.... player.placeatme.... KILL.... player.placeatme....KILL...etc. I just want an amicable horse who isn't so intrusive and maybe stays in the stables with the other horses till I need her! After all, she's for travel not battle! If this was Oblivion I'd of used TES:CS and set aggression to 0 in her AI package! However this is not Oblivion and I'm not experienced enough to mod the game's AI without the upcoming construction set for Skyrim. I've seen some mods that use .esp plug-ins, but I have no idea how they've managed that! Does anybody know a work around? ..OR is anybody willing to find/make a fix for this highly irritating issue? Thank you!! Edited November 25, 2011 by Matterspourington
Adrius2
I support this. Mod the rabies out of Shadowmere.
Terralventhe
Ya know, what sucks most about Shadowmere is the fact that despite being claimed as unkillable, the damned mare still dies when she falls from a great height. Why is this bad? Well, because when Shadowmere attacks everything in sight, half the time it involves chasing the foe down once they go 'Oshi--' and run off, followed by misstepping and hurtling off a cliff to her damned death. Adrius2
What I would like to see most is her actually having a summon/unsummon ability. I mean we see her rising from the SHADOWREALM OF SITHIS or something when we first get her... why not be able to throw her in there again when we don't need her? :) I think it would solve most issues. That's all well and good, but I'm assuming horses you buy from stables present the same issues as Shadowmere, what would you suggest for them? Adrius2
I would suggest nothing, I only really care about Shadowmere to be honest :) A simple aggression reduction would ofcourse work for them as well. Terralventhe
I'm with Adrius on the idea of summoning Shadowmere. In fact, initially I thought that was actually how it was going to work, that I'd get Shadowmere as a summon, similar to the Spectral Assassin. Matterspourington
I would suggest nothing, I only really care about Shadowmere to be honest :)Yea me too, lol! The thing is, the damn things follow you everywhere, I think I'd prefer stables than a summon.. despite being a wizard! Although that presents its own problem of travelling all the way to a damn stable, just so you can travel back faster.. I suppose you should also be able to dispel her at your convenience, but for those who ride normal horses it's a tad unrealistic. Not that Skyrim with all its magic and zombies and dragons is realistic to start with, but you can see what I'm getting at!! DeadxPixels
Who rides horses? [towards the end anyways]Lol But I like the summoning idea. Copy the initial rising of Shadowmere from the depths of darkness animation into a summon [horse] spell...

I really like this idea. But an agression reduction would be most welcome as well. Both should be implemented as a mod.
