sixcross
I am not sure if this is a unique experience to my game play or if others have experienced it, or even if its just a glitch. Every time I fast travel to river wood I get a dragon spawn. It might sound cool and fun but its kind of annoying having to fight off a dragon every time I want to sell something. I have 12 dragon corpses on the ground in riverwood *counted* and more just keep to seem on spawning. Anyone else experiencing this?
Maciej4321
Yep, I have the same. Usually takes 30 seconds to make the dragon spawn, or exiting a location. It doesn't sound fun resurrecting NPCs by console everytime he kills someone :/
QDX2000
Similar thing for me in winterhold, though it's more like an 80% chance of a spawn.Aside from that, why not sell stuff in Solitude or Whiterun instead? Dragons almost never spawn there and those places are sprawling with traders. Whiterun especially is close to Riverwood and has 2 smithies, one of which comes with two traders. That city also has every other type of shop of course.
PsYchotic666Joker
easy fix, DON'T FAST TRAVEL didn't the greybeards tell you already? fast travelling breaks the game!
Marlboro Man
I had a different experience happen. My first time back through Riverwood from Whiterun, I was heading through riverwood on the hagraven/tree quest, and just up the hill from riverwood I was attacked by a dragon. Now the first time he attacked and he landed and we fought, and I got killed, so the game loaded the save and I was ready for it this time, but it never landed, it just circled several times, and I took a few pot shots at it with my bow, but then it just flew off. I tried loading my save several times to see if it would land again and it never would. Very strange. BTW, I am using the new 1.2 patch.

Well, sometimes I have too much things to sell, so I have to visit Riverwood for the trader with gold, as I already empty out the trader's gold in Whiterun. Also I always liked the forge in Riverwood, dunno why. Maybe because it has everything there :PI always fight the dragon near the mill, probably because it's the nearest piece of land where the dragon finally lands. There's actually one thing helping me there: the dragon comes down faster with the help of guards, so I can have more dragon souls quicker. csgators
Whiterun is by far the best place to sell things not only does it have the 2 smithies with 3 merchants it has another shop that buys anything and yet another weapons/armor merchant that is open 24/7. On top of that sometimes the Khajit are setup selling just outside.
