Invisible Ebony Shield Vampirism bug report

Very recently I experienced a bug where, the very second I became a vampire, my Ebony Shield becames invisible. The shield is equipped, and pressing block causes the same blocking animation, but there's no visible shield, I don't know whether this affects if the shield still blocks damage or not. However, as I've tested so far this bug only seems to affect Ebony Shields, as I've tried equipping hide, glass, dwarven, steel, and daedric shields and found no issues.

Here's what I've tried to fix it myself so far:

Post vampirism:

1. Unequipping and re-equipping the Ebony Shield.

2. Saving and loading, both with the shield equipped and not.

3. Equipping a different shield and then re-equipping the Ebony one.

4. Purchased a different Ebony shield to the one I was using and equipping that instead.

Pre-vampirism

1. Loaded an earlier save to ensure it wasn't an isolated incident.

2. I was still able to see the Ebony shield after loading.

3. Transitioned to vampire both with and without the Ebony shield equipped.

4. Transitioned to vampire with another type of shield equipped, still can't see the Ebony shield and did not make the other shield invisible.

None of the above have fixed the issue. What is going on here?

Thats funny. the exact same thing happened to me. it won'twork on wall mounts, and it also doesn't matter if i give my follower the shield, because my follower's a vampire. i have tried everything you have and still no solution. when bethesda realizes the shield glitch, though, i'm sure a game patch will come out for it. until then, just do what i do. use two single handed weapons and do twice the damage. with that kind of damage, you won't need to block

I used the bug fix provided by Johnwayne1930, and it worked for me perfectly. Just downloaded it using the Nexus Mod Manager, activated it, went into my game and BAM! there's my shield again. Oh, and btw, I have a completely cracked version of Skyrim, updated to the latest patch (v1.8.151.0.7) with all 3 DLC's (Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn). I didn't play at all, just loaded my game to see if the fix worked. I'll report any problems I encounter, should any arise. In the meantime, I suggest everyone just try Johnwayne's fix.

Thanks John. You're my hero for today.
