Use a pellet gun. Be sure to wear eye protection because it can ricochet if it misses. A pellet ricochet won't cause serious injury unless it hits you in the eye. It will sting like hell though.

 

If basic rat poison doesn't work, you could try Strychnine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strychnine

 

Put a peanut butter cracker out somewhere with a drop of the poison on it. Recommend using rubber gloves when applying the stuff.

 

Make sure your dog can't get to the cracker, because it will kill dogs/cats.

I used 10 grams of C4, blew a hole in the floor and my ears were ringing for a few hours but I killed the rat, he was all over the room :biggrin:. I was proud, untill the neighbours started yapping about the noise.

 

Why does that not surprise me ?

 

I have used a rat poison that when consummed the rat gets thirsty goes off to find a water source and then the water somehow activates the poison and el Ratto dies there and not at home where the creature can stink up my place with it's dead carcass ... there are also "glues" that work, you put some on a board and the rat steps onto the board and gets stuck, no way in hell it can brerak free except it chews it's own four legs off.

 

Still, just a nice normal furry little puss 'n boots should do the trick.
