chocolambot
I don't think games that are designed for a specific audience should be hastily modified to fit a younger audience. If you are not old enough to play it, you are not old enough - end of story. IMHO.
kallum260
yeah i can understand where your coming from with this, when i was younger my mum was always like "what are you playing, is that blood?!" whereas my dad was like "it won't harm him" and did it? YES! i am a serial killer HAHA! no, not really :P but i voted yes on this it couldn't be that hard to make.
David Brasher
I think there is too much blood in all the wrong places. I am not opposed to really gory stuff, but I don't want to see it everywhere. Vampire lairs -- yes. Imperial Legion forts -- no. If you compare the amount of blood and gore in Morrowind and Oblivion to Skyrim, you will see that Skyrim is a ridiculously gory game. It is like Bethesda has this obsession with serial killers, cannibals, vivisectionists, necromancers, torturers, and other perverted freaks. If you look at the population of the towns and compare it to the number of people in the categories I just mentioned, you will note that more that half of the people living in Skyrim are criminally insane and have no respect for the sacred form of the humanoid body created by the Nine. It's like every dungeon you go into is filled with blood pools, blood spatters, and dismembered body parts. I don't find this stuff aesthetically pleasing. It is perhaps titillating to see things like this now and then, but when you see it everywhere you look, it is a disgusting sort of banal. The kind of desensitization that leads to moral obesity and the beginning of the loss of conscience and your soul. SylenThunder
Personally, the rating system is a little over-protective in most cases. However, there are some things that I would like to be able to trim out to allow my 13-year-old daughter to play. like...."As the game progresses, the dialogue and on-screen text contains references to sexual material (e.g., ". . . all the whores your heart, or any other organ, desires," "She . . . raped the men as cruelly as Bal had ravished her," and "Remember when you thought [he] was . . . intent on making you . . . into his personal sex slave?"). Aside from that, taking out the occasional decapitation makes it perfectly fine in my opinion. I wouldn't mind a mod that would edit out some of those text lines, or re-word them. I would do it myself if I had any clue about how to go about it. As far as drugs and beer ect. I don't see why that should make a game M-rated. I would much rather they played with it here, than out in the real world.
WatchTheShow
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=36 Found you a "no blood" mod! :D Oh, I know what you mean about helicopter parents (in my case grandparents). I'm 20 years old, almost 21, and I can't play games that would be worse than LittleBigPlanet (rated G) when my grandma visits. Oh my God, she makes overprotective parents look normal. Not only will she sit behind me and comment on everything she disagrees with in my game, but she'll then proceed to interrupt me and ask me questions continuously until I quit the game, or hand over the TV, turn on Netflix for her and let her watch Columbo. DubstepKid
I think people should get over themselves when they say something is too violent. Welcome to 2012
Nerdmurai
I voted no simply because I don't want it. That was the question after all yes? I personally could care less if some people can't handle fake blood and dismemberment when you're fighting and KILLING people anyway. Go play katamari damacy if you want a fun clean game. LDSGamer1
The reason I want the clean mod that HOPEFULLY makes it that there is no cussing, is because I'm and LDS gamer, and the game Skyrim is very fun... But it swears... D:So, that's why my vote is a 'YES' for the clean mod!!! :D
Barsabbas
that is one of the things i will never understand...why show the game to your parents, why let them know that you own it? how old are you? 11? pffff...And to all those with 11, 12 or 13 or so old childrens...why do you let them play the games? It is violent, has slight if any sexual content in Vanilla status and is just awesome....and tbh with 13 and above sexual and violent content is no prob so...i don't understand why y'all want/do this???
