TobyTravis
Loved playing them in oblivion, but now a can't seem to make one look good enough for me to play for 100+ hours.Don't want an elf, are their any other races that would make a good mage? Do you HAVE to pick a Breton or high-elf to be a good mage?If so- how the hell can I make my Breton look any good,, mine always seems to turn out looking like a little boy. You may be the only person, ever, to have the problem of your character looking too young.
TobyTravis
Just made a great looking Redguard, how badly will it affect me for spell crafting? The only magic related bonus is +5 destruction...
frapfap
high elf, i made mine look badass. do what i did and make a stealth mage. get 50 into illusion (just spam the muffle ability to get 50 in like 6 minutes)once u get 50 into illusion get the Quiet Casting ability. (makes it so no enemies can hear you casting / cant locate position)then get all the destruction and stealth perk you can pretty much dual cast nuke s*** while sneaking from the shadows and they will never find you even when they run into you. its a pretty badass setup i created :P
Adrius2
@Toby: It won't affect you at all, the starting bonuses are neglectable in the long run. Your racial skill Adrenaline Rush can even be fairly useful for run-and-blasting. Also Redguards look badass, which is all you should care about really ^^ Edited November 25, 2011 by Adrius2

PsYchotic666Joker
what's up with people wanting to make young looking characters lol? i prefer mine to look a tab older around 30-40, i mean would you want a young warrior leading you to battle? no combat experience LOL, or a clumsy thief or a dumb mage due to being young and not knowing the craft as well as an older magi would ;P i know this has no effect but i was just being goofy with this post hehe
eggplantObelisk
I did not experience your issues with Bretons. And their racial is incredible (magic resist). http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/632983753089545213/57A75353CCBAD7A2901E0C72C30B4A6BA4140781/
