Beriallord
From the benchmarks I've seen Intel Sandy bridge I5 and I7 are still better for gaming over the bulldozer. Considering games aren't using more than 4 cores, and some still only use 2, like Skyrim. People have OC'd the I5 2500k to like 5 GHZ also. as stated above I am not even going to consider using intel. Too much money, period. I understand how much power they have in only four cores, thats all fine but I don't need it. I got my I5 2500k for about $200. Its not too much, compared to an I7 990x, which isn't any better at gaming than the I5 2500k is and costs nearly $1000. I7 2600k is about $300, but again for gaming its not really worth the extra $100. If you go intel, the Z68 motherboards have smart caching, which use a SSD as a caching device to substantially boost performance and load times. You could even do 2 10k RPG HDDs in raid 0 and then use an SSD to boost a Raid array. SSD performance with the OS, and you have HDD storage space. Best of both worlds. Boot up and load times are very, very fast on this PC due to it having smart cashing. Fastest PC I've ever had by a long shot. Windows boots up and its ready to go immediately, and I got quite a few programs loading on startup. WIth the same programs on startup, my old PC took 1-2 minutes before I could open any windows because everything had to load up. Now its instant gratification. I'm a happy clicker so I value the extra performance for load times very highly so it doesn't take a toll on my patience which I can't put a price tag on. hoofhearted4
yea, intel would be pointless for you considering you already have an 1100T. no need to get a brand new CPU as well. but as i said, the Bulldozer just isnt worth it. it didnt really live up to its hype. who knows if Piledriver will or not (its the next one AMD is going to release. prolly sometime next year)

But seeing as how I am more about multitasking than brute force, and there are very few games that even utilize a dual core I will stick to my 1100T. It has not failed me yet and I don't expect it to soon. The fact is that regardless what intel users say, my AMD chip has taken every single game I have thrown at it in strides. All of the problems I have had with my games, have all been bethesda games (bad optimization bethesda). Sure Intel has the extra power but its not necessary for me, and its too pricy. I am good with what I have. that said I looked up a few benchmarks for the FX8150, and its not great. My 1100T is a bit faster when it comes to responsive NanD gates, and overall bus speeds. And thats even when at a lower clock. I am not sure whats going on with AMD. It's like they aren't even trying to compete with Intel. Perhaps they should get their act together... But I know nothing of a corporations plans for sales and business so i should probably stop criticizing them.
Dan3345
I thought up a good question, one I hadn't asked or thought of until now. When I instal the new mobo I will plug into it my old 1TB HDD. It has windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit installed already. SO will I have to do anything for windows? Re-validate the authenticity of it or reinstall? Both would present a problem because the hard-drive came with windows pre-installed and I would have to ask for a recovery disk. which is doable but I would like to know if I need to do it now. I don't know if re-validation is doable though. All I will be capable of getting is a recovery disk afterall...

I am still using my Window 7 from my Acer Predator(installed in new personal build) and I was easily able to use it like nothing had changed. It is true that some people, in times of mass overhauls, have said they had to re validate windows but that can be done in two ways. 1/ windows re-validation prompt provides a phone number and instructions for re-validation.2/ All PC have the validation code on the chassis somewhere-usually the bottom. Though following method one you wont need it. Also I prefer intel-i5 2500k. But you have built your whole PC here around an AMD build so I don't think changing the processor is a wise choice(strictly talking Intel-AMD) Change it and you pretty much are starting from scratch. hoofhearted4
he wouldnt even notice a difference anyways. he already said he had no interest in overclocking. an 1100T will perform the same as a 2500k. and again, he already has the CPU. if he bought an intel mobo hed have to spend $200 on an intel CPU, which he doesnt need to do because he already has an AMD CPU....if he were building from scratch meaning he needed a cpu too, then you could try to persuade/convince him either way, but he isnt getting a cpu, so intel's pros/cons dont matter :P
EroHumanPole
I Was quickly looking the new directories in DCS A-10C I bought it last WE, the directory structure is not the same as in FC2 or Black Shark. - Mainly Directory BlackShark seems to be now MissionEditor. Look in "MissionEditor" or rename "BlackShark" directory to "MissionEditor" and have a try. - Also you have now the troops in ScriptsDatabaseTroops and no more in ScriptsDatabaseTroopsLOP - Didnt found the Localizer.cfg but it may no more have importance ? I think it was for Bettys language in Soundsspeech directory. there are German, English and Russian in FC2 or DCS-BS but in DCS-A10C there is only English. Be carefull with such modifications and make a copy of your game directory before testing.
