A suit of armor and a sword

I was thinking, and I've posted the idea in my thread, 'Imperial Legion mod', but nobody seems to want to give their take on it there. So I figured I'd post it here, OUT of that. This could also be considered something seperate, though.

I had the idea that the sword, Chrysamere, and the armor, Lords Mail, should be in this game. They should both have an Imperial look, seeing as how they're heirlooms of the Empire...(or so I've read) Anyways, I was wondering everyone elses take on this. It might be a fun project to take up, if the modder could do it decently. Because, you know, we wouldn't want a half-done job on these two artifacts, eh?

Chrysamere would have to be big. It was big in Morrowind, it should be big in Oblivion. Not super-huge massive Masamune big, but pretty large. Two handed, of course, and powerful. We could take the stats from Morrowind and use them for this, since it would be the same sword. Also, there might be a skeleton you get the armor from in a ruined fort on the boarders of Morrowind...maybe someone stole it from Ebonheart and tried to make it through the Valus Mountains, but died. That's when you, Champion of Cyrodiil and hero of all Tamriel, comes along and recovers these two ancient artifacts of unrivled power. A suit of kingly armor and a sword worthy of Talos himself!

The Meshing would have to be something else. It would have to look wicked cool. If course, I guess it could be changed from how it was in Morrowind...it wouldn't matter much. The Lords Mail could even look like an uber version of the Palace Watch armor, only enchanted and what-not. The sword...I've got a pretty good idea in mind for the sword.

The blade would be steel, or platinum, in apperance. Long, about a third or two thirds as long as the character weilding it. It would taper off into a sharp point and the point would be just above a long, shallow blood groove running down the blade. When the blood groove came to a stop, the hilt of the sword, or the guard, would take over. This would be what the character sees most. I picture it being shaped kind of like golden wings, coming out a few inches from the pommel of the sword and curving upwards towards so that a blade that happened to slip down the sword would be caught in it. The hilt wouldn't curve much, just alittle. Kind of like a lazy 'u' shape. In the middle of the hilt would be a small red stone, like the Amulet of Kings sorta. Finally, the pommel, or handle of the sword, would be long and covered mostly in black leather. If you look at Aragorns sword in Lord of the Rings, it has a silver ring in the middle of the pommel. Like that; it would designate the space for both of your hands. Finally, on the end of the swords pommel, there would be another red stone, but this one would be bigger then the first in the hilt. It would be some type of enchanted stone which gave the sword its power, perhaps. How is the idea thus far?

I say you should edit your second post and delete everything.

Alas, there are to few 3d modelers on this forum for this to warrant attention. I would suggest you scour the official elder scrolls website.

What do you think of the stats? I imagine I could think on it alittle more and change 'em to be more reasonable, but since they ARE Legendary artifacts...

And thanks, Cyron. Seriously though, I'd love to have you on the team, dude. You'd be a valuable member, from what I've seen so far. Post a picture of the fort when you're done with it, and lemme see how it came out.

Also, note that I changed the enchantments. There is no 'Use' in Oblivion, so I made them Constant Effects on the player.

Unfortunately, neither damage ranges or Constant Effect weapon enchantments are possible in Oblivion, although weapons can have scripts that add or remove abilities when equipped and unequipped.
