Deleted28266070User
Hello. I want to get into modding yet I don't know where to start. I'm looking for someone to teach me in the ways of the G.E.C.K. Thank you in advance. Edited August 13, 2016 by Guest
robhartman9
I haven't seen any tutorials for the newest version but there are some good ones for previous versions. If you have fallout 3 or new vegas you could try downloading those tools and following some tutorials to get an idea how it works. Then you can ask more specific questions on how to use the new tools. If someone knows a tutorial for the latest version I would like to see it as well. zrovektor
Well, I'm gonna assume that when you say "G.E.C.K.", You really mean "Creation Kit' as it is called now. If you seriously mean the old GECK used in Fallout 3 and NV, sorry that I misunderstood. The trick to finding useful tutorials for Fallout 4 is to not look for tutorials for Fallout 4. Instead, you should search for tutorials for Skyrim as they are not only plentiful, but more importantly, cover most of the topics that you would encounter in Fallout 4 modding as well. http://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Category:Papyrus <This is a good place to start. Of course, it all depends on what you want to do. There is modeling, scripting, textures. Each of these has its own individual skill set and each requires a separate devotion of time to learn. As far as someone "tutoring" you, I highly doubt it. While the denizens of the Nexus are exceedingly helpful when It comes to new modders, Modding is not really a "hold your hand" kind of sport.
