ImmortalNinja18
I was wondering if anybody would recommend a computer that is powerful enough to play skyrim on ultra settings with the best graphics mods out there.because this dell inspiron m731r isn't cutting it. Here's the link to my computer specs, if you want to know why i want a new computer. http://www.cnet.com/products/dell-inspiron-m731r-17-3-a-series-a10-5745m-8-gb-ram-1-tb-hdd/specs/
redrakiton125
Do you also plan to use the computer for something else like graphics, 3d moddleing, Game making? Also back at thge topic at hand, you have a decission to make or go for an intel or an amd. This link should help you decide http://www.futuremark.com/hardware/cpu. They also have comparisons for motherboards and video cards.

redrakiton125
Ok so let's think a bit, Skyrim uses a lot of: VRAM - video card or graphics card CPU - processor power RAM - memory (temporary storage of the information) HDD - permanent storage device Now that we defined what skyrim uses, let's see how to find out which hardware can do the job. What is your budget and also what you already have? This link might be easier also, mods will always demand more with directx 11 support https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrim/comments/2s323u/what_is_the_required_pc_specs_for_skyrim_on_ultra/ Edited August 13, 2016 by redrakiton125

twiztedmongoloid
https://pcpartpicker.com/user/ironbender800/saved/#view=8W6nTW ^^^ That is still 50 dollars under 500 and will do about everything you want except for the most extreme setups.........A better options over the 960 is a card with 4GB VRAM cause its VERY easy to go over
redrakiton125
Ok so you don't have any pc hardware to start building then maybe search on ebay for a gaming pc even if it is second hand. Also if you go nvidia try something above the 960 series, else you will only have 2 gb of vram not enough to play 4k or 8k textures. Also if you have more money you can think about an amd r9 390 or r9 390x with 8gb of VRAM. I don't think that you need to spend a lot on on the hdd. You might also have to find a processor with at least 4 cores to be able to handle heavy mods. Good luck
