Hugo_The_Dwarf
You're taking this too lightly. It's not just a matter of having a program, it's a matter of skill. Animating is very hard. It'll take years before you actually have any sort of novice skill with it. ninja_lord666 I may be taking animating too lightly but with oblivion it would be fun, I could make animated demons, or new fighting styles. And on the plus side I will gain new EXP. Now thats something to tell my employers lol. I might not reply for awhile because I got alot of work to do and so little time. But if you think this project is a waste of time tell me (or you have and I dident see it) and could you point me in a good direction to some tutorials for meshes and NIFScope thanks
Storm Raven
Hugo_The_Dwarf, There are some great tutorials for those and other subjects off the main page in Articles LHammonds, in his articles, provides dozens of links to other web sites, with more information on 'how to". http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showforum=200 Also I would lean more heavily on the opinions of folks who have a track record of releasing mods than those who have not. Exnem dose not have a great post count because he is to busy producing work, too spend hours and hours posting. Folks thought many things were impossible, and then OBSE came along and changed all the rules. No one would have thought flying dragons possible until someone did it. Now I'll bet that required some heavy animation that was not already in the game. I'm sure he was told it couldn't or wouldn't be done. So he figured out a way to do it himself. I can tell you he didn't spend years and years learning how. Lots of mods have been written that have no basis on TES lore, and it hasn't stopped any one from enjoying them. I have a history of doing things in the field of computer science, that hadn't been done before, that stretches back over two decades, because those things HAD to be done usually for clients. Never say Never. In most of those cases, I didn't know things were not possible until after I had figured out how to do them. I grow weary of hearing regurgitated opinions by posters with no actual experience about what is or is not possible. These forums are for building people up not tearing them down. If you don't have something to add from your own experience, please don't use this forum shoot people down. Negative kudos for negative posters, I say. "Those who can't do teach" says a famous quote. "Those who can't teach criticize", I say. Pay attention to the master modders, like Vagrant0 because he has a lot of experience modding, and really knows the limitations of the game. However, I think, even he would have had doubts about flying dragons, so keep that in mind. "So let your desires fuel your imagination, Be prepared to work the forge that dreams come true on, And who knows what you might accomplish." - StormravenP.S. Who would have predicted that Dark0ne would have been able to do so much, with so little, in so little time?
