autumnsky38
Hey you guys. I wanted to say thanks for posting this because even after trying some mods that were supposed to allow you to marry more than one person, I never did get them to work, so hopefully these console codes will. I'm curious about something though and wondering if you might know offhand.......when you're already married does that somehow show up to the NPCs so they believe you're off the market? And if it does, is there a way around that in the console? I like the idea of having hubbies in each place where I live but am wondering if that will ever work given how the NPCs might be reacting to my married status. Thanks for your help!Tracy :)
meohmy9
You need the additional command setrelationshiprank player 4 And the reason it's on the wiki's is because it does work (on most non-main-plot-related NPC's). I added it to uesp myself (my character is currently married to Ofalia Graymane). You're probably doing something wrong. I tried all this but i still can't get Hadvar to marry me. After I disable him he won't come back. Does anyone have any luck marrying Hadvar?
Carah
Some NPC's you just cannot marry. They could be too heavily scripted, or they have unique voice acting and dialog. I went crazy with the add factions to NPC's to see which ones I could marry. I was surprised who was or wasn't available (like the crazy Talos Preist in Whiterun). I'd love to marry Brynjolf or Ulfric, but I can't. You take what you can get, so I married Farkas... heh.
SkyrimOz
Don't know if you're a newbie or a seasoned player, but I had trouble using the console commands until I discovered that I had to "click" on a player for the command to apply to them. Then I was able to marry Lydia etc. Cheers
Carah
No one has mentioned that they where wearing the Amulet of Mara. That you have to purchase from Maramal at the Temple of Mara in Riften. This triggers the unique dialog for marriage in NPC's. If I'm not mistaken Lydia is in the marry faction like all Housecarls, and followers. You just need the amulet. esmo
So suppose I was able to add some NPC to the marriable, followable faction and then to get married. The getlevel command tells the current level of the NPC in question, would this marrying and changing to a follower let some NPC to advance levels with me? I'm primarily thinking of Vex, as the looks are appealing and I'm hoping it can develop with me. If not, is there a command to change a NPC's max level? Cheers. Rainmaker118
Here's a problem for you. I married Aela then divorced her cause she was buggy. Divorced her using the completequest breakup ID. Then I used resetquest relationshipmarriage, setstage relationship 10, addfac and setrelationshiprank, all the stuff you're supposed to do. Had Lydia selected during the right codes, put the amulet on, and talked to her. She notices that I have the amulet and asks why I'm not taken, but I don't get a dialogue option for marriage. Even tried talking to the priest guy. What gives, man? Did she see me taking my last wife out to the woodshed or something? Edit: also just tried it with Mjoll, she does the same thing. Mentions the amulet, but doesn't give me a dialogue option to marry. And yes, I found grimsever for her.
