somegoober
I'm asking this because I am worried that the mods I install are going to be overwritten by some other mod. I'm using Mod Organizer if that helps.
Oubliette
I don't know about mod organizer but typically yes you have to install each mod  Downloading isn't installation. As for them overwriting each other, yes that's likely a possibility though it's rare that it's actually a problem. If you pay attention to the installation instructions you'll know if there's certain overwrites to look out for and avoid.
somegoober
So if you've installed something like Mojave Delight, you can't install something else like... Real Feel?
M48A5
So if you've installed something like Mojave Delight, you can't install something else like... Real Feel?Correct. You cannot use two mods that change the same thing. Since Mojave Delight is a body and face texture replacer and Real Feel is a body and face texture replacer, you can use only one. SirTwist
I prefer Mod Organizer over NMM for all my Bethesda based games. You can use the latest version of the 32-bit version of Mod Organizer, which I get from Tannin's GitHub website, which will follow later. For Fallout 4, get his latest version. You could, if you read carefully the descriptions, and even readme files of both Mojave Delight and Real Feel, merge the two if they have .esp's. Otherwise, you will have to only use one or the other. I do also caution against just merging files. I do recommend watching Dirty Weasel Media's way to do it through Mod Organizer, TESVedit, and Merged plugins. I am going to link a few things, don't worry, it's all good stuff. I also recommend watching Gopher's videos on how to use Mod Organizer, as well. Both will refer to a website, it will be the first link. For the Mod Organizer link, you will have to go to the bottom, and hit next. You should grab 1.3.11.
