Septim741
Tomorrow I'm uploading Ancient Imperial City. It's a texture replacer for the Imperial City, giving it an ancient stone look. At the same time I'm making the textures available as a modders resource for modders to use in their own mods. Here's some screens: http://i2.tinypic.com/6lde7sw.pnghttp://i16.tinypic.com/6nqe0s1.pnghttp://i8.tinypic.com/6o5di5g.png EDIT: Dammit, could a mod change Imperical to Imperial, in the title? Thanks. I always make a mistake. :(
Abramul
Does this change the buildings, or just the walls? How much of the city was built by the Ayleids, anyway? The towers and walls were, that much is clear from the style. The statues, of course, are Imperial. But what of houses, shops, and sewers?
Septim741
I'm replacing everything. That includes the interiors and all. So far I've got most of the exterior (minus the statues) and the palace interior and some of the regular interiors.
Besugo
I like those textures a lot, I can say that, but something about them makes it so it doesn't seem right in my eyes... It might be a little too brown. The alyieds' buildings were marble, right? Doesn't that mean that the walls should at least look like they used to be white? Sorry about being a angel right here and now, but what program did you use to change the texture? I could picture those textures against a gray sky and darkened grass, devoid of happiness. Dunno, that's my opinion.
Septim741
I use GIMP. I, too, think it might be a little too brown. I might upload an updated version as soon as I get this one done.
DogtoothCG
yes septim, i like this, but the original ayleid textures were more of a cream white with some green crawling up the sides to simulate the mildew and mold :D
Septim741
And the original IC textures were nothing of the like. It may not be exactly lore friendly, but it is a nice retexture and it's what I was looking for: an ancient look.
