nicktheduke
Hi all. I might have found a fix for the OR + ENB Ambient Occlusion bug. The effect from either can sometimes cause your weapon, hand, and shield to be transparent when in first person. I have been trying to figure out how to fix for months now. It's something to do with the skin shader. So I decided to try deactivating OR's skin and installing OBGE v3 skin. So far, it works. I am trying to test it further during certain times of the day and lighting situations. What to do:download/install OR and DISABLE skin shader in it's inidownload/install ENB + your preferred preset, etcdownload OBGE v3.1 RC BAIN Archives and extract OBGE_v31rc4-BAIN.7z + OBGE_Skin_v31rc1-BAIN.7zinstall *ONLY* 00 Base + 01 Core from OBGE_v31rc4-BAIN folderinstall OBGE Skinenjoy the AO!Can someone else try this out to see if this works for them, too? Are there any problems that might happen using OR and OBGE together? Edited August 15, 2016 by nicktheduke
bevilex
Hi Nick, I have 2 Oblivion installations, one heavily modded and one Vanilla. I have no AO problem on my modded installation but sadly I have transparency issue with AO on Vanilla with my ENB preset ... I tested your solution on Vanilla and there is no transparency issue now. Good job ! (I have not tested more so I don't know if there are compatibility problems). There might be another solution since there is something on my heavily modded game who hides this issue. nicktheduke
Thanks Bevilex! What is your mod list + load order? How many do you have active? Do you mind sharing in a PM? Would like to compare!
openzmindz
@nicktheduke how on earth did you figure that out? I tried sooo many things to fix this and you got it. Only thing is, the model is 1st person is blurry/low quality, but I prefer that over transparency. I think it might be DoF? Not sure. I'll mess around with more settings. Thanks so much. EDIT: okay, it was DoF. Fix seems great so far!!
