Best way to train your skills

Unlike Oblivion, it seems Skyrim has made it harder. I don't like to cheat, even if that means I'm running around casting a "heal 3 hitpoints" spell in Oblivion repeatedly. But in Skyrim... it seems based on amount of hitpoints healed or something. Anyways... let's discuss the best ways to train your skills...

Alchemy/Enchantment

- Not very hard to train, just need a bunch of soul gems and soul trap spell, and enchanting anything you can, or collecting/buying ingredients and making potions

Onehanded/Twohanded/Block/Archery/Destruction/Speech

- Requires extensive use, no easy way found

- Combat skills can be trained with trolls on low levels as they regen

Light/Heavy armor

- Getting hit, and healing at the same time

Smithing

- TOO EASY to train, just make a bunch of iron daggers/leather bracers

Restoration

- Sitting on a fire trap and continously healing

- Or better to get hit while healing

Pickpocket

- Easy to train, just takes a ton of reloading, pickpocketing everyone

Sneak

- Simple to train, but very time consuming at high levels

Lockpicking

- Argh, pain to train

Anyone have better ideas?

There is an easy way to train your offensive skills. Though it has some minor Dark Brotherhood spoilers.

After you get Shadowmere, she is basically your training dummy. Attacking her won't make her aggressive towards you and she has a lot more health then other horses, and her health regenerates fast too.

Though that's just exploiting game mechanics and isn't fun.

What i do...

Harvest (Ore, furs, rings etc ech that don't weight too much)

Forge Ore and furs

Enchant just forged and found rings armors pieces etc you don't need powerfull enchantments only use tiny stones.

Sell enchanted stuffs., notice enchanted stuffs allways get higher value than originals.

Harvest => Forge => Enchant => Sell =>Harvest => Forge => etc......

you win Weap, armors skills (Harvest) Forge, Enchantment, Speek skills and you make money.

Sometimes i get 2 or 3 levels without getting out of town, just by forging enchanting selling what i had in my inventory.

And it's an easy way to have early powerfull equipment.

Fast training(wich is kinda of a cheat/exploit)=> couple of hours of "whoa" :woot:and "wow"=> then, a couple of hours later, you're bored.

I like to train my skills in combat and based on my actions. I'm level 30 and I still use the elven armour I found at level 8-10. I'd like to get the glass one, but so far I've only found glass weapons.

Heh, yes playing the game will automatically improve your skills, but for me and my characters, it's nice to just chill at times, relaxing to the soundtrack, improving your skills at the same time. One of my complaints of Skyrim is the removal of the athletics skill. Every second I run, no matter how short, is improving myself.
