Throwing javelins, stubbing spear and hunting spear where a third main choice of viking warrior ( after sword and axe...)

Guardsmen can be leveling from : watchman (hide armor), guardsman (stormcloak armor), senior guardsman (steel armor)

for Imperia : townsguard (leather armor) legionair (iron armor) and Pretorian (steel armor with crested helmet) and that is simple to do just with changing their equipment and names. Skillful modder will make that in one day ( night).

and use meshes from magic stuffs to make spears. simple like that!

Ah, this is more my scene. I am rather confident in my Maya abilities, so expect me to give a stab at making a few spear concepts when my other 2GB of ram arrives.

If it is possible to export animations from Maya to Skyrim, It shouldn't be too hard to replace a weapon type for the spear. Guess we could replace the warhammer with spears, and speed up the animations a bit. And again, I need to learn how to do this with Maya and make it work in Skyrim. :3

....I want to do this SO bad right now.

I've just ordered extra RAM as well!

My interests are more in game design, and ai, so I can't really help with this mod. But, here's a really lazy way of modeling a spear. Just take an arrow, cut off the fletching part, and just extrude the arrow, so it's as big as a spear!

Since all 3 basic offensive bonuses are taken, how about making it the opposite: a defensive bonus?

Spears are all about keeping your enemy back and unable to strike you before you strike them. This could be done a few ways:

1, you could add a chance of a small stagger back on a hit with a larger chance on a power attack.

2, You could forgo this and just add a damage reduction perk to represent keeping the enemy far enough back to strike a solid blow.
