Habakkuk
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knew of any mods that are compatible with the direct2drive version of the game. Early last year, I tried to use Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, Martigen's Monster Mod, and some other mods as well. None of the mods worked, to my dismay :(. Apparently, the D2D version of the game is not compatible w/ mods. I was wondering if anyone knew if this has changed. Does anyone know of a list of D2D compatible mods? Thanks a bunch! Vagrant0
As far as I know, D2D is compatable with any mods that do not require OBSE. It may however be limited by whatever version of the game you've patched to, which could be why some of the mods you tried didn't work. Additionally you could have just installed them wrong. Habakkuk
BTW, I know this is a long shot, but do you happen to know if there is a list of mods that DON'T require OBSE? I would GREATLY appreciate the help! Thanks!
Septim741
A lot of mods don't use OBSE. If it sounds like it's far-fetched and impossible to do in Oblivion, and it's been done, OBSE had something to do with it. Not that many do use it, so just be careful and you'll have no problems. clintorion
Hey, I hate to dig up an old topic, but I found that the d2d version can be patchedwith a fixed .EXE to use OBSE. Here's my video:
LFact
One Note: Usually, NPC face revamp mods do not require OBSE, however, latest version of XEO requires OBSE to make custom races(modified vanilla races) to be recognized as vanilla races.(without OBSE, you have to edit tons of dialogues and maybe scripts)
