A noob's problem with a head swap

So I found some FMDL editing 3ds Max scripts on the internet and had an idea how to use them - import the Hospital Snake model, export the non-head model parts, use a Hex editor to find what was exported in the FMDL, null what was found and put the result over the head models (all of Assets\tpp\pack\player\fova\plfova_sna0_face*_v00_fpk\Assets\tpp\chara\sna\Scenes\sna0_face*_cov.fmdl). It worked...

The rest of the body still shows up sometimes (usually from a distance), and I have no idea why. Does anyone know if this is fixable or not? Do I just have outdated scripts or do I need to edit more models? Thanks in advance!
