chucksteel
Ok I know there is a way to do this and I could at one time do it in the FO3 GECK but for the life of me I can't remember how to position a skeleton or Dead NPC once placed in the render window. I can place them and click Havok but they then just fall where they fall and I have to keep doing that until I get them somewhat into a position I am happy with. So my question is how the heck do I manually pose them? I did some google searching but when I search skeleton I get a lot of tutorials on armor or custom races and just not what I'm looking for. Thanks for any leads.
Surilindur
This page here came up in a google search: http://www.creationkit.com/index.php?title=Run_Havok_Sim If you Alt-Drag on a joint (such as a corpse's wrist), you can move that joint to fine-tune the position of the corpse. Note that the corpse will still re-settle in game, so you may not be able to achieve a very specific pose. Maybe that would work in Fallout 4? I have never tested it myself anywhere, though, but something to try, maybe.
chucksteel
That does work, it's still a bit of a pain but it's better then nothing.
RaffTheSweetling
I would really like to know exactly how this is done also. Good question, Chuck. And thanks for the link, Contrathetix.
chucksteel
@RaffTheSweetling, I've been playing around with the Alt + Drag method from the link and as I said it does work but it's not very accurate. I've found that if you try to move from the wrists or ankles instead of the knees or elbows it's a bit easier to position the arms and legs. I still hove no clue on where to drag for the head. it does seem there still is a lot of trial and ERROR and man there does have to be a better way I can't believe with some of the funny positions I've seen NPC's and skeletons in in game that the level designers at Beth just had to try there luck until they got something good. If I learn anything I'll be sure to post info.
